A fear buzzed trough the Clan.
By now the Hole Clan new about poor Poopykit,
and accusations were flying everywhere.
But there was one reacurring theme.
Shinepaw.
All the evidence led to the apprentice.
Foxpelt was gathering votes, but there was
no need to announce who would be
exiled. Shinepaw already knew it was
her last day in RiverClan. When the deputy
had collected all the votes, she hurried over to
Badgerstar so she could announce their
decision. Shinepaw stood waiting, trying to ignore
the glares of hatred and the aching fear in her chest.
Would she last as a loner? Seconds felt like moons as
the nerveuse apprentice waited for her exile.
But when it bagan, she wished it actually had
been moons. Badgerstar was on the highrock,
her good eye staring directly at Shinepaw.
Clearing her throat, she announced,
"I assume you've all heard what happened
to Poppykit by now, and that it was
indeed a clan mate who attempted
to murder our precious kit. I know this isn't
easy for some of you, but we must get rid of
this murderer. Foxpelt has counted all your
votes, and it's been decided that Shinepaw
will be exiled." Before the leader could
say anything else a chorus of gasps
broke out across the clearing.
"We should leave her on the Thunderpath!"
Some cat hissed. "Or drown her like
she tried to drown Poppykit!"
Screeched another cat.
"Shinepaw... how could you?"
It was Stump-paw, whose face
was horror-stricken. "We've been
denmates for so long. How could
you throw that all away?" He cried,
staring at her with pleading eyes.
But Shinepaw couldn't respond.
"I.. " Looking around desperately, Shinepaw
ran out of camp, out of RiverClan
territory, until she couldn't run anymore.
The she-cat collapsed, only to open
her eyes to the most beautiful place
She had ever seen. Maybe some things happen
for the better.

Oh no, RiverClan! You've lost a loyal clanmate!

The hole Clan was inside camp. The events of the
previous day had shaken everyone, and most
cats weren't hungry, so there was no need to
hunt. It was raining slightly, so most cats were
in their den to get out of the drizzle. All but
Badgerstar, who was sitting alone on top of
her den. The rock was cold, and she was
getting quite wet. But that was the last thing
on the leader's mind. The hole exile thing
was bothering her. What if they exiled an
innocent apprentice? No. Shinepaw was
guilty for sure. Badgerstar tried to convince
herself, but it wasn't enough. A sudden movement
caught her eye, but it was just Stump-paw,
who had been sitting miserably under a bush.
He was headed towards the apprentices den,
so that meant Badgerstar was the only one in the
clearing.
Except another.
This time the leader didn't notice the
approaching cat, and was surprised when they
spoke. "Pitiful morning, isn't it." They said gently.
But Badgerstar didn't reply. "How about we go
for a walk? I know its not nice, but your
not exactly in shelter right now, are you?"
Badgerstar nodded slowly. "I guess your right.
I'm just so worried. Who knows when this
murderer will strike again?" She fretted,
while hopping down from the rock. "It's alright," Her
companion soothed. "You'll feel much better
after a walk to the gentle stream. It will calm
you, trust me.
After walking through dripping grass, and
muddy puddles, they finally arrived at the
stream. It was calming. Badgerstar sat
down, closing her eyes. "Thank you for taking
me here. I really needed this." She murmured
drowsily. "Good." The other cat replied,
before delivering a powerful death blow.

Uh oh, Riverclan! You've just lost your guard, and leader!
With that, Foxpelt becomes Foxstar and appoints Goldencloud
as deputy.

Stump-paw woke up earlier that morning, due to the exile of Shinepaw, which he took part in, and his doubt overwhelmed him.
He was really thirsty, due to not drinking all of yesterday, so like any sane cat, he got up and went to the river, and saw something he wish he didn't.
He saw his leader laying there, dead.
Stump-paw let out a high pitched shriek at the sight of it, unaware of his sleeping clan mates, and raced back to camp as soon as his shriek exited his mouth.
We exiled the wrong cat, didn't we?

One-eye looked up groggily, hearing a loud shriek. Dread washed over him and he heaved himself up to peek outside the elders' den. His eye met Stump-paw's and he let out a sigh. "What's wrong young'un, seen another spider?"
