She chuckled gently, her tail swaying. "Ah, well. You'll be glad
you made it after giving birth to the flea-brains." She said, smiling,
remembering her first litter. "It's always worth it." She yawned
out, looking up at the pale starlight.

The white and ginger tom flicked his tail over Brindlepaw's shoulder,
his eyes rolling to her pelt. "I'm sorry, but I just didn;t expect this."
He sighed heavily, his shoulders drooping. "But, even if, you're much
younger than me, and... I don't know." He said, heaving a sigh.

She stretched out her back and legs, enjoying the warmth of the sun, "You know, I don't think I've met any of your kits before."

"That's because they're all dead." She said, looking back down to
face the she-cat with glittering ice-blue irises. "You met two of
them though." She said with a shrug, her pelt shifting as she moved
to lie down. "Softwillow was my last daughter." She began, flicking
her tail-tip.

Her eyes widened a bit, "Oh... I'm... sorry to hear that."

"Ah, it's quite fine." She purred, her tail waving. "I'm not that
bothered by it anymore. Out of the five litters I've had- well,
they're not here as you can tell." She said, then added quickly,
"Not that I don't care, but it doesn't really faze me as much."

Sandcloud stood up, "I've been getting hungrier more often now that I have these kits inside of me, so I'm gonna go see what's on the fresh kill pile."

"Of course." The she-cat said quietly, her legs shifting as she plummeted down
onto her side. I wonder what Softwillow is doing now. She thought, looking
to the sky, her tail-tip twitching. "Or if she's even gone. Speaking of that-" She
grumbled, staggering to her paws before shaking out the dust in her fur, light
fluttering down onto her pelt dappling her with bright patches as she began padding
the the medicine cat's den, shouldering and shoving her way through the small crowds
of chattering toms and she-cats, finally reaching the rock, slipping her way through
the bramble screen, stepping over moss nests and Iceflower's kits. She stared at them
for a heartbeat, then looked up. "Soulpaw!" She called, twitching her whiskers.

The chocolate-tortoiseshell grunted heavily. "Soulpaw, I'm coming in." The
she-cat then slipped her way through the dark crack in the medicine cat's
den where Softwillow's scent still clung heavily. "Soulpaw, you've realized
Sandcloud is expecting kits? Oh, and as well you need to speak to Smokystar
about your full medicine cat name. You're going to need that, as well as
speaking to StarClan full time now." She sat in front of him, staring down
with a hard ice-blue gaze.
