Just as Wiseheart was about to ask Berrythorn about joining his patrol, a loud yowl pierced her ears. She whipped around and looked towards the entrance. "Help!" she heard. Curiously and cautiously, she ran to the entrance and went through to see a cat bleeding on the ground. She gasped and being her kind, bighearted self, she went to the cat's side and check out the situation. "Oh my! Are you okay? What happened?" she asked the tom cat. She assumed he had fallen from some where given the broken branch.

Tigerstripe's eyes were hardly open when the she-cat appeared by his side. He purred inwardly. Perfect timing. He was an expert. He tried to open his eyes and squinted up at WIseheart. "I... was looking...clan... tried to see-" He broke off, coughing, and finished in a hoarse voice, "In tree...Fell... hit rock.." He took in a breath and rested his head on the ground again. "Are you... clan... cat?" he whispered, staring up at the she-cat weakly.

She twitched as she dreamt, a dream of kits. In her dream five kits ran around her, all toms and all mewling. Then two just collapsed, the others running over to them in confusion. Hollowstar awoke at that point, standing out of surprise. When she realized she had been so close to Claw she winced, hoping that she didn't wake him.

"No one would have believed that a black cat and a gray cat produced calico spawn! It would have never worked. I did what I thought was best for you." She hissed. With a huge breath, Morningdove smelled another cat. "You might as well come out Moonshade," She said in a calmer tone.

Moonshade's large, indigo eyes fluttered. She didn't want to walk out of the hidden bushes concealing her. But she looked at her paws for a moment and took in a deep breath, bracing herself. She wasn't as afraid to stand before her adoptive kit, after listening to Sunclaw defending her so much. All that from the calico warrior really made the dark she-cat feel a little better. She stood tall, and stepped out of her hiding place, a little way away from the two down the shore. She padded up to them a little tentatively, tail swishing from side to side slowly. She stopped about two tail-lengths away from Sunclaw, looking at the ground. She waited for her to yell at her too. Her ears were pinned with shame. She'd never wanted to keep anything from her or Foxchaser, but she had no choice.
The beautiful warrior waited painfully for the scorn, but inside, she wasn't exactly impressed with Morningdove either. Though she didn't show it one bit, what Sunclaw had said about her real mother was true.

Claw twitched in his sleep, feeling a sharp movement. His tail-tip twitched. His drowsy, red eyes fluttered open and he narrowed his eyes at the fuzzy figure before him, standing. He tipped his head to one side, then shook his pelt and yawned. His vision was clear now and he looked at Hollowstar with concern. "What's wrong?"

"Bad dream, that's all. No need for worry. I need to do something though, as I am growing bored," she explained. Of course, once the kits were born her paws would be full, but until then she wouldn't sit around worthlessly. No one should do that. After releasing a small purr she licked Claw's shoulder. "What should we name them?" She asked.

Wiseheart inspected the tom's wounds; most were on his front leg. When he asked her if she was a clan cat, she looked at him and nodded. "Yes, I am. My name is Wiseheart. Can you tell me yours?" she mewed in a soothing voice. Her pretty tortoiseshell coat shined in the sunlight like it always does as she thought of a way to help this poor cat. Duckpond was busy with other things and she couldn't carry this cat in camp all by herself. What to do, what to do?

When a plea for help echoed to his ears, Littlehawk detected where the sound came from. He approached at a decent speed, a bit weary of this cat. Maybe it was a rogue, maybe a loner, or a helpless she-cat. Upon arrival he saw a rogue, obviously injured, and Wiseheart. "Who is he?" The tom hissed.

Claw tipped his head to one side when she mentioned a bad dream. He seriously hoped it wasn't horrible. He nodded, listening, and licked her on the neck. He flicked his tail with sudden annoyance at her question. Did she really expect him to think of something now? He swallowed and relaxed. He blinked slowly, as if thinking, and smiled a little. But the smile was somewhat smug as he traced his tail-tip along her flank. "I don't know yet. I want to see their faces first- then I might think of something. What about you? What do you think we should name them?" he purred in a silky tone. He then stood and licked her cheek. Hollowstar was the only cat he ever acted this way around... at all.
