Larkpaw had tuned out the argument since she first heard Shadowpaw complain about Sky being a kittypet. The only thing interesting about this one was that Sky knew about Firestar, a cat that had long faded into clan legend. "How do you know about Firestar?" Larkpaw asked the newcomer.

Sky drifted his gaze to Larkpaw."We lived where he used to when he was a kittypet." Sky said.

Owlstar turned to Sky. "Do you know how to hunt? Some kittypets have hunted in our territory before..." she meowed.

Now that that was taken care of, I don't know what to do. Where is Brookfoot? Some apprentices may be happy to not have a mentor, but I'm not. Sitting around won't make me a warrior. Sky may still be confused about some things, I can help him. Then again I want to hunt, yet I can't leave the camp without the permission of Brookfoot or a warrior. I gently sigh. Is there anything I could do? I hate being useless.

Honeypaw's restless movement caught Owlstar's attention. "Honeypaw! You know the territory well enough, and you're one of our senior apprentices. How 'bout you show Sky around our territory?" she suggested.

My chest swells a bit with pride. I'm a senior apprentice? I sincerely nod my head. "I'll be glad to show him our territory." Finally, something to do! Maybe I could show a few early hunting moves while I show Sky our territory.

"I know how to hunt, but I haven't hunted in your territory. I've only hunted in the meadows." he meowed.

A soft sigh escaped him as he suddenly grew tired. At least no one had rejected Sky but Shadowpaw. Stretching a little, he looked around, wondering where his mentor was. In fact, he hadn't seen Dreamrunner all day. The apprentice's ears flattened slightly. He wasn't ignoring him just because he wasn't all that great at fighting, was he....?
He ultamitely decided that he would have to try even harder. He was more or less okay at hunting, so he had to work on his fighting skills. Maybe then Dreamrunner would want to train with him more....

The sleek, gray tabby tom wandered into camp, two mice and a thrush hanging from his jaws. His white paws looked a little more brown from all the dirt he had been scuffling around in, and his fur was slightly puffed out and tangled, since he had been stalking through bracken and such. Flicking his bent ear, he walked over to the fresh-kill pile and dropped his catch gently on top of it.

The she-cat blinked as she watching him, purring in amusement as she gave a small nod. "Definitely~ I'm loving this warmth." After moving to a spot where the sun shone through the trees, she smiled slightly as she sunned herself for a few moments- before scenting a squirrel. Immediately, she dropped into a crouch; her pale green eyes narrowing in concentration as she tried to pinpoint where the rodent was. She then began to stalk forward, soon able to see the squirrel. She grinned and pricked her ears before dashing forward, startling the squirrel so badly it squeaked and dropped the acorn it had been nibbling on. It then dashed towards the nearest tree, though Spottedtail was right after it. She wasn't going to let it escape her paws again after she was right on top of it.... and luckily, she could climb trees rather nimbly.

Luckily for Spottedtail, one of the squirrel's paws didn't quite catch on the bark, and it practically fell into the small she-cat's jaws. She then climbed back down the tree after perching herself on a branch and turning around. Landing softly on the ground, she killed the rodent (which was still squirming in her jaws) with one gentle bite. She then closed her eyes as she lay it down and whispered her thanks to StarClan.

Owlstar slightly relaxed. "Honeypaw can show you around our territory, stretching far and wide," she meowed proudly. "If you want your friend, Bramblepaw to come to, then I can also arrange that..."

"Owlstar, shouldn't we say something about the badger?" Larkpaw asked.
