Sparktail's eyes widened as she crept up on the small rodent. If she could make this catch, she could eat. Bunching her muscles, she sprang into the air, unsheathing her claws and digging them into it's fur. It let out a squeak of panic before she silenced it with a swift bite to it's chubby neck. Her whiskers twitched in amusement. What funny creatures! Sparktail picked up the mouse and turned. The cool grass soothed her aching paws as she made her way back to camp. Life had been calm for Sparktail lately- She was one of the only cats in the clan who didn't have an apprentice, she wasn't obsessed with some tom. It was nice. The white she-cat flinched as the wall of scents hit her, bringing her back to reality. There wasn't a single queen, kit, or elder in Summerclan, so she settled down in a shady corner with her mouse and took a bite. Sparktail had always loved the salty flavor of mice, ever since her first fresh-kill as a kit. She took another bite and looked down to find almost all of the edible meat gone. Well that was filling... she thought sarcastically, and carried the remains to a bush. Sparktail realized she had nothing to do all day. "I'm not just gunna sit around all day...." she muttered, and made her way to the exit for another hunt.

Embercloud was laying in a patch of sun near the edge of camp, his head resting on his paws and his tail twitching every once in a while.

((WOAH. No WAy8D))

Sparktail turned, hearing the rustle of grass. "Hey Embercloud!"

Embercloud lifted his head and smiled at the she-cat. "Hello Sparktail" he said happily.

Sparktail padded back gingerly to where he was laying and sat down. Conversation was a great time waster. "So how are you today?" she mewed, narrowing her eyes slightly.

Embercloud smiled, "Ok, it's just really hot out" he laughed.

Crystalflower finished her food. She stood up and fluffed out her fur and walked out of camp to go hunting.

Sparktail smiled brightly. "Yeah, blazing. At least it gets the prey running!" she mewed. "Speaking of prey.....are you busy? Because the fresh-kill pile is a bit small....."
