Dia nodded her head quickly, her wings still stretched out, as if she was imagining she was flying. "What was it like when you first flew????" she asked.

Ering'a stashed his belongings into his crude hollow and flew up into the air. The sky was pleasant to him, and he didn't mind simply flying for fun.

[Mario]

Stone chuckled quietly and motioned for her to sit close by him. "What was it like," he confirmed, "when I first flew?" He thought for a few moments. After he was through thinking, he smiled and put his wing around Dia. "Child, it was as if the sun finally broke through the clouds, shining down on my finally developed wings, the wind soaring under them and pushing me up, as if encouraging me to go on. Your time will come, don't worry."

"But it's taking forever... I want to fly NOW!" Dia muttered. She was too impatient to wait for all her down to fall off (or something like that... xD) and then learn how to fly... Oh well... At least I'm not like those fish and land animals, I'll actually be able to fly sooner or later...

Stone simply smiled. "There's a saying. 'Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift.' That is why it is called present, child. Enjoy your youth, even though you can't fly yet."

Dia nodded, and then jumped around the nursery hollow. This is the closest I can get to flying right now... she thought, upset.

Ember woke up from her dream with a start. Phew... It was just a dream.... she thought, relieved. She walked towards the outside of her hollow, only to find the sun is just starting to set. Ugh... if any other bird sees me, they'd think I'm not nocturnal. I know some owls aren't nocturnal, but barn owls are... she thought angrily. Sighing, she flew out of her hollow towards the roots at the bottom of her tree, and found some worms crawling(?) around the pellet she threw out of her hollow before she went to sleep. Smiling, she kills the worms and flies back up to her hollow, with the worms. It's better than nothing... she thought, hungrily, before she ate one of them.

Oh, there was the owl again. Ering'a beilieved that he had a knack for running into interesting birds. This owl wwas one such bird. The sun was just setting, and she seemed to be awake. She was going back to her hollow, yes, but she was still awake. Ering'a found it peculiar, and he did have thoughts that told him to go back home. He was no night owl (pardon the pun) and didn't want to be out late. Still, he angled toward the owl, landing on a nearby branch.

Ember sighed and put the rest of the worms away. She flew off towards her small collection of books (in the back of her hollow, she didn't fly out of the tree :3) and picked out a random book. Then, she went back to her nest, sat down, and started reading it.
