The canine-like pokemon blinked before letting go a small growl of disapproval of the request. He should have known this was what she wanted. He'd known she'd been wanting to go on and complete a job on her own for some time now and he didn't approve. The Vulpix had no idea just how dangerous it was out there and he refused to loose her to any circumstances, she was far too precious to him. Burner had vowed to protect his daughter at all costs and peovide for her in her earliest days. Looking at the three youngsters, "I'm sorry Dolly roped you boys into one of her schemes and we will be having another talk about using others as such. But the answer is no. You two may go and I wish you sucess and a safe return but my daughter stays."

Dolly got to her paws, "But Daddy! Thats not fair! I didn't hatch just yesterday! I'm a part of-"

"The answer is no Dolly!", snarled Burner pointedly at the fox pokemon who jumped running to hide behind Cealan and Midge. "Now it's time to go. Wish the boys luck and come." The Arcanine turned his back on the trio and started walking away.

Before he left, Caelan said, "Wait! It was my idea that we go on a mission together."

Midge cowered in front of the Arcanine, who was much taller than he was. "D-Did something go wrong?" He thought, quivering. Midge then looked at the Machop who recognized him. "Well, at least he knows me," He thought again.

"Cealan!", Dolly squeeked in warning peeking her head between him and the Mimikyu nervously.

The orange and yellow furred quadruped stopped mid pawstep. He paused for a minute before turning his head around to look at the three youngsters again, breifly meeting his daughter's worried eyes before looking at the Machop. "Your idea you say? It doesn't matter whose idea it was it was a poor idea that I am against. However-", Burner turned around so he was facing the trio again with narrowed eyes watching each one of them, "-Are you saying you think your strong enough to protect her? That you can ensure she will return home to me no matter what? You two don't look that strong to me."

Midge gulped, wanting to say something to help the Vulpix. "I-I agree with the Machop," He told the Arcanine. He still didn't know the Machop's name, but he knew a good view of his virtues. "He's responsible, and I've seen it in action.".

Caelan nodded, "I know I'm strong enough, it's an F ranked mission, plus I'm a combat species. Alakazam from Team A.C. T recognized me as a fighter" Suddenly, a voice said, "That I did." before Alakazam, followed by Charizard and Tyranitar stepped off the teleport pad. Alakazam spoke, "Burner, Caelan is indeed a fighter, and he is a combat species. Besides, the more you tighten your grip on Dolly, the more likely you are to lose her, not physically, but emotionally."

Midge looked at all the tall Pokemon now surrounding him. He cowered, and in the midst of it all, he used Lightscreen to block out the noise that the group created. Everyone seemed taller than him; tougher, more opposing, more menacing than anything Midge could ever be.

Star sat on the edge of the long grass in Terra, just watching the Pokémon interact with each other. She remembered her sister. “I wish she was here,” She whispered to herself.
