Silverpaw watched cats and go as Riverpaw groaned in pain at her paws. The small she-cat was still shocked by the whole experience but a sort of acceptance had come over her and she realised she was missing out on apprentice duties. “I need to find my mentor!” She said, remembering she was supposed to participate in battle training today. “I need to find Eaglecry!”
Silverpaw ducked down to Riverpaw’s level and whispered in her ear, “I’ve got to go now but I’ll come and check on you later,” She promised, running the tip of her tail along the fur on her back as a ‘thank you’. Then she nodded to Softpaw and dashed out of the medicine den, in search of Eaglecry.

Ravenleap nodded her head and spared a quick glance at the other cats that were to be in the patrol. Silverpaw hadn't arrived yet, while Cloverspeck looked like he was about the burst out of his fur in excitement. The she-cat let out a purr of amusement, wishing she could share such enthusiasm for a patrol.
"Hey Brightmoon, are we just going to be checking the borders this morning?" Ravenleap asked, noting how the sun had still barely risen up far into the sky.
So much has happened so far today and it's still only morning... she thought, looking down at her paws.

Midnightstar glanced over towards where Lunarkit had went dashing out of camp and turned to Softpaw, "I'll go get her, do not worry about it." The tom told Softpaw with a reassuring look, he turned around and padded away from the medicine cat's den and broke into a quick trot, 'That kit needs to learn her place.., just when I was thinking about making her a apprentice.' he thought bitterly as he shook his head in disappointment.

Cloverspeck followed Brightmoon, a jump in his step. He loved doing patrol. Not only was it a perfect
time to get his rowdiness out, it was also fun to play little tricks on unsuspecting victims. Tonight, he planned
on making Silverpaw his next victim. His idea? Covering himself in mud, so as to hide his scent and markings,
and pretend to be a hostile cat from another clan. He would jump on Silverpaw, growling fiercely, lower his
mouth to the apprentice's neck, teeth bared, only to lick him. It would be perfect. His excuse to get him out
of trouble? He only wanted to make sure the apprentice was alert at all times, as a warrior should be. He
chuckled just thinking about it.

Shadestorm had been out of camp, making dirt, but when she returned she found that Riverpaw had collapsed and Softpaw had treated her accordingly. Well, apparently I can't do my job, she thought to herself in annoyance, but on the outside, she smiled approvingly at her apprentice. She glanced at Riverpaw for a moment, but returned her gaze to Softpaw. "Well done, Softpaw," she praised him. "You recognized a problem and took action without waiting for me." Shadestorm looked down at her paws, ashamed that she had been gone, and even more ashamed that her apprentice had done her job for her. She took a deep breath, expelling her emotions. "Sorry for making you do all the work," she finally mewed, her voice flat and expressionless.
