Grayclaw nodded gently, acknowledging her request. “Hm, deputy?” He muttered softly, having blanked out while watching the camp in content and may have gotten too comfortable. “Well, I suppose it’s an interesting subject. One that may help lead the clan well, or run it into the ruins.” He chuckled softly. The tom noticed her referring to his previous talks, but didn’t mind at all. “Patrol, of course.” The warrior nodded once more, making sure she knows that he was paying attention well. “Must of been a fine apprentice.” He spoke softly to himself, glad to know that she cared about the clan well, but wasn’t sure if Vervainclaw would of heard him or not.

“Ah, that’s good then, I suppose.” He smiled softly, unsure if it was false or not, but he wasn’t going to bother asking. Noticing her shifting gaze, he glanced in her direction, seeing that the molly too, was interested in what was going on, or who was going to be chosen deputy. “Hm? Ah yes, I slept quite well.” He nodded with a small purr, slowly sitting down besides her, but not too close, just in case she felt uncomfortable near him. “How do you feel about Sunstar becoming leader, if you don’t mind me asking for your opinion, that is.” The tom asked delegintly.

The molly felt content to see that she seemed happier for a moment, noticing she was dazed out for a bit as well. “Of course, I wouldn’t mind sharing at all.” She purred softly, getting up and bounding gently towards the fresh killed pile. Scanning the pile, she took a pause to find what’s just right and enough for the two of them. Knowing she, herself, doesn’t eat as much than what a usual warrior’s appetite, picked a plump bird, hoping it was just enough as she padded back to the other molly. Gently placing it down by her feet, she smiled sweetly. “Hope it’s enough, I can’t eat as much, so I grabbed a simple bird, if that’s alright.” She explained shortly, curious if Cloudfall would enjoy preying on bird, or any prey of the sort.

She purred in amusement at her mate's joke. "I've been sleeping as well as I could without you close by." E replied, her eyes filed with affection. "I missed you." She added after a few heartbeats. Despite her mate not being gone for all that long, she still worried about how he was doing and if he was alright. At first she didn't know if this was normal or not; but to her it didn't really mater so long as Sunstar always came back to her.

She watched her friend head to the nursery and began to look around for her own mentor. Sometimes she couldn't believe that the clan deputy was her mentor. Though occasionally it did seem to make him too busy to train with her, but she didn't mind considering everything she learnt from being near him. She didn't care too much for his flirtatious nature but was glad he didn't flirt with her because of her age. She could only hope that he wouldn't try anything with her once she became a warrior. While she didn't have her eye one anyone in terms of possible future mates, Wolfjaw on the other paw had no such privilege given he had an assigned mate.

cloudfall gave minkpelt a gentle smile as she watched her stride away to the fresh kill pile. she felt hunger gnawing at her stomach and realized she was hungrier than she had previously thought. she was glad the clan was doing so good, and knew there was plenty of prey to go around right now. her golden eyes blinked slowly and the molly enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her pelt. even though things weren't perfect and she was struggling to be happy with her mate, right now her life was pretty decent. she opened her eyes when she heard soft footsteps approaching once again, and was delighted to see minkpelt carrying a nice bird. "of course it's alright," she purred. "yeah, you're pretty small. i'm not as large as you might think either, though. it's mostly loads of fur," she chuckled, her whiskers twitching slightly. she bent her head down and nosed the bird towards minkpelt. "after you," she chirped.

willowblaze was glad the tom kept some distance between them and she realized he wasn't that bad. after all, he was respectful and it seemed that he was pretty nice. she just wasn't the affectionate type, and didn't know how to handle those kind of emotions anyways. she perked up when he mentioned sunstar, her fur slightly bristling. "well, he's really young. i don't know if he is really the best fit for leader. maybe not even deputy, but perhaps he will surprise us. everyone seems to like him, so he at least has that by his side. and besides, he has already gotten his nine lives so it isn't like we can choose a new leader anyways," she answered honestly, looking over at buzzardgaze. she hoped the tom wasn't going to bash her view, she wasn't in the mood for an argument. "despite his age, he's a strong cat. i'm just hoping he's wise enough to think things through. what are your opinions?" she asked, curious.

She was eager to move, but patience was just as important as working. Sighing, she slumps down onto her belly and stretches her front paws out. Apprentice? Who was he talking about? She hadn't mentioned one had she? Feeling a little sheepish for have possibly missed something, she glances up at him. "Redpaw?" She questions, wondering if he saw his own apprentice as a fine warrior in the making. He could be referring to Sunstar, becoming leader so young and yet recognized as a valued clan member. She wasn't sure...

The she-cat nodded with a relaxed smile. "Hopefully things will be calmer now, with Sunstar in charge. I'm sure once the tension is down more kits will be on their way." She picked up one paw, licked it, and drew it over her whiskers. "The apprentices are all starting to grow up now, they could even be warriors by the time new kits are ready to be trained." Sparrowflight commented with a purr. "I'll be happy to see them."

Redpaw's ears pricked up at the mention of her name, wondering what the two of them were talking about. She'd been trying not to eavesdrop, wanting to respect their privacy, but couldn't help being nosy now that she was mentioned. Her paws shifted restlessly beneath her and she glared downwards, willing them to stillness. So maybe she wasn't the best at patience yet. It was a work in progress. She cast a sly glance out of the corner of her eye at her mentor and his mate. She really shouldn't intrude, she decided. Redpaw turned to look around the rest of camp, eyes focusing in on Sunstar. She studied the newly made leader, wondering what it was like to have received his nine lives.
