Waterbone heard Smokepaw's voice, but ignored it. She started grooming Shadowpaw's soothingly. The tears wouldn't come. She was too much in shock.

[cardboardteeth]

Shadowpaw;;

Shadowpaw snapped his head up. "Don't touch me!" he snarled.

[ ooc;; is she gonna get bluecloud? just wonderin since otherwise she wouldn't come ]

[PopcornWaffle]

(yeah.)

Waterbone nodded. She got up and walked toward Bluecloud. "M-mom..." She finally felt the tears come on. "She's dead." She looked down.

[cardboardteeth]

Bluecloud;;

Bluecloud lifted her head, frowning. "What?" She had her body curled around Ice, perfectly content. What was this sick joke?

[Weredog]

Wisteria trotted up to Adderstrike with a stone faced expression. "Adderstrike." She said in a neutral tone that matched her unreadable expression, "Do you want to have kits?" It was something she had been thinking a lot about ever since becoming mates with the tom. She came to the conclusion that it might be nice to have another litter, if anything just so that her only motherhood experience wasn't plagued by memories of a past mate who she only wanted to forget. She was trying not to put on any emotion though that might persuade Adderstrike's own decision on the matter. If he didn't want kit then she didn't want to have any.

"Oh, uh...I guess?" Wildpaw meowed with obvious uncertainty and hesitation. Wolfpaw did not like strangers and he knew it. To allow Redkit to 'train' with him meant pushing her away from the situation. But he didn't want to be rude and deny the kit so he just decided to go along with what he asked.

Pikeflower's response to One-eye was mearly a small shrug. He was trying to relax now after what he considered to be a taking interaction. His relaxation didn't last long though. The tabby lifted his head off his mate and turned it towards the sounds of sobbing. Normally he would only be mildly interested in what was going on but he could hear Waterbone's voice amongst it. Without saying anything, he slowly stood up and began to approach whatever was causing such commotion involving his kit.

"She just died. Her body is still warm." Waterborne said a little louder. Her voice was cracking with every syllable.

[cardboardteeth]

Bluecloud;;

Bluecloud's mouth popped open, breathing heavily. "N..no, no, no, she's n-not," she whispered.

Adderstrike;;

Adderstrike blinked. "I'd love kits!" he purred almost immediately, then reconsidered. "But.. I couldn't be around them often," he meowed. "I still have to be a deputy."

One-eye;;

One-eye stood up and followed the tom, confused.

Waterbone only nodded her head, even though Bluecloud couldnt see her. She started sniffling. She walked back over to Mistyclaw's body. "I'm sorry mom. I'm sorry I didn't talk to you. I'm sorry I didn't spend time with you."

[Weredog]

Wisteria's expression immediately brightened, but then fell as her mate continued on. "So you don't think we should have any then?" She had considered Adderstrike's new position. He couldn't possibly be much more absent than Gingerheart had been. During that first moon of her kits' lives when the kits required constant care he would have had to be the one to go out and catch food for them both as well as make sure there were never any threats nearby. Before they could really get past that stage they were forced to return to the clan in order to save Laurel's life but after returning was when things began to crumble between them. When Rustpelt re-entered the picture. She didn't expect it to be much different with Adderstrike since he had duties that would likely keep him away a lot but she was certain he would come by at least once a day which was enough for her really.

Pikeflower finally approached the body without realizing it was a body. To him it appeared like a vague blog shape on the ground which he came to recognize as a cat either sleeping of just laying down. "Whats going on?" He asked with the hope that someone would fill him in.

Bluecloud;;

"Dad? Dad!" Bluecloud meowed, standing up shakily. She, of course, didn't know where he was. She wanted him - for comfort, maybe. Ice wouldn't understand.

Adderstrike;;

"No, no, no, no," Adderstrike meowed quickly. "But.. would you be alright with me not being around as.. much as maybe other fathers would be for their kits?" he asked quietly. "I'd most likely be able to be around them at least twice a day, but you never know. I.. couldn't resign. U-unless, you.. wanted me to." Really, he didn't at ALL want to resign - but he wanted Wisteria happy. That was his greatest priority.
