Jokingly scoffing as she flicked him with her tail, he smiled as he watched his mate pad off to the fresh kill pile. Once she returned with the thrush, Midnightgaze lightly said, "I could've gotten that for you." Wrapping his tail around himself, the dark black warrior's green eyes watched her as he nuzzled her in return, before nudging the prey to her. "Ladies first, specifically queens. I do believe queens are one of the first to receive prey?" Mentally, Midnightgaze praised himself; he was proud to have remembered more in terms of clan life, being that he was a rouge for the longest time at the beginning of his life.

Lupine crouched down and gently laid her catch by the fresh kill pile. She spent the entire morning hunting alone, and had returned with only a young waxwing. She spit its dull grey feathers out of her mouth, and shook her pelt of the rest. The feathers had been tickling her nose as well as her throat, and she sneezed somewhat loudly and a bit too obnoxiously, suddenly meeting Shroud's familiar gaze as she did so. Lupine smiled shyly at her, slightly embarrassed with herself. "Sorry, I think I swallowed some feathers or something." She apologized, moving to sit by Shroud's side. "It's pretty cold here in the shade. Do you like sitting here?"

Alarmed by a sudden noise, Shroud relaxed only to find it was one of the younger {well younger than her} Sharpclaws. The tall, quiet she-cat murmured a "it's ok," before blinking in surprise when the other cat sat next to her. Wrapping her soft grey-white tail around herself, she studied Lupine as she spoke, although her eyes were unreadable, her expression neutral. Shroud then spoke, in her calm, but cautious, voice. "I don't mind it, I rather like the cold than the heat. You don't have to sit here if you don't like it, I apologize." Her ears slightly flicked back, as if feeling like she was at fault.

juniper backed up silently, coming back to stand by topaz, not crunching a single leave or stick. "sorry, never really paid any attention to the scents," juniper whispered silently to topaz, the smell of shrew now coming to her senses, her nose tingling with the scent of something other than herbs. juniper said no more, but just looked forward searching for any movement in the brush ahead. she had been quite good at distinguishing movement and colours in other bushes or flowers, which had helped her as the healer to be able to find herbs, mainly ones that were disguised as common weeds and plants, but they had a slightly different colour, one that nature hadn't managed to fully fool her with. so far, she saw no movement ahead, but she did notice a small brown-gray object in the bush near her. was that a shrew, or just some weird colour leaf? she flicked her tail, silently and stealthily as she possibly could, motioning to the bush where she had spotted it, indicating to topaz that she may have spotted the shrew. then again, she'd never actually been looking for it, but she still had found it. oh, imagine would I could find if I was actually looking around, not just for herbs! she thought to herself, smiling at the thought of gazing around just for the sights, rather than for her work.

lily woke with a start, her long tail brushing up against a spike in the to-be's den. "I'll take care of that." she said with a frustrated mew. she certainly wouldn't want any other to-be's stepping on the thorn or getting it stuck in their pelt. and she certainly didn't want to get it stuck in her pelt, especially with that annoying tail of hers! it wasn't really bad that she had a long tail, just annoying really. lily, holding the thorn, strolled out of the den, and into the bright sunlight. it was nearly sunhigh, but she didn't care. she dropped the thorn towards the edge of the camp, not wanting the kits to find it and think of it as a toy. she looked around after dropping the thorn, looking for anyone to train with or hunt with.

Greynose felt a small smile slide across his face as he saw Duskpaw "Sure, I was actually just looking for someone to help and I think you'll do perfectly. We're expanding the warrior's den for the growth of warriors" Greynose purred towards the young cat, his light gray tail waving slowly low near the ground. He then saw a figure approaching the two of them from behind that caused him to look up and recognize the cat to be Graycloud. "Oh hey, and yeah that'd be great. The more help the better" He meowed calmly as he glanced back at Duskpaw then towards Eaglefeather. Greynose listened to what he said and nodded his head in approval, "That'd be alright, you want any of us to come along as well?" He questioned the young warrior, his ears twitching at the sounds of cats moving through the clearing near them.

Topaz felt her tail twitch in annoyance as Crowe didn't bother to hush his voice like she did, but thankfully she didn't hear movement that the shrew had run away. The blue furred she-cat then dipped her head and motioned Juniper over with her tail. She wanted to show her a quick hunting technique she could use to catch the shrew easier but Juniper was already stalking through the undergrowth and Topaz didn't stop her. Her whiskers twitched in amusement as the Healer continued to stalk around until she signaled to her that she had found the small creature. Topaz would never say it to her face but she had no confidence that Juniper was going to catch something on her first try but now she was begining to have second thoughts. Maybe she underestimated the she-cat?

From how quickly she was moving Cricketpaw got to the border quickly, about a minute after Sterling had gotten there. Although as she reached the treeline she paused and began to glance around cautiously for any signs of cats wandering around for an early stroll or something. The brown tabby just shook her head, telling herself she was being paranoid before pushing through the treeline. Then like a miracle, she spotted her best friend Sterling sitting on the other side of the stream and it seemed like he was looking for her. "Sterling!" She chirped loudly as she hopped over to the stream's edge, obviously not being able to hide her excitement. She loved this mouse-brain and enjoyed every second they were together.

Ross stood there and grumbled a few swears under his breath as his mentor wanted to veer off with him from the rest of the group. He thought he'd have it easy on this patrol with all these other cats around but he was wrong. Although not wanting to get his tail ripped off he nodded slowly and followed behind Crowe into the brush. Not saying anything as being the natural born grump he was would probally just get his mentor mad at him.

As she was cleaning her soft, feather white fur, the apprentice's golden-yellow gaze flitted over the other clan cats. She finished just as she noticed the medicine cat watching Twistedpaw speak to Eaglefeather. She watched as he paused on his way to his apprentice, before turning swiftly and out into the forest. The she-cat sat there for a moment, but as the anxious feeling in her grew, she had to run after him. Maplepaw cautiously and timidly looked at the medicine cat as he slowly walked away from the camp entrance. "Specklednose?" She called, wondering if maybe he'd need help with something considering he seemed to need Twistedpaw, but she was occupied.

Heron let out a little murmur of agreement before getting up to follow the pretty she-cat. "Might I ask where we're going to hunt?" he asked curiously. He concentrated on walking quietly, not stepping on twigs or stiff leaves. He didn't want to scare away the prey in case they were to hunt in the area, or if some other cats were going to hunt in the area. Not that anyone would probably hunt so near camp, but still.

Mistystar watched as Greynose and Eaglefeather went around gathering cats to help expand the warrior's den, and nodded in approval. Looking at the fresh-kill pile, she noticed it was a bit low and decided she might as well go hunt since no patrols had been sent out yet. Spotting Coalstorm, she made her way over to him. "If you aren't busy or don't have plans would you like to hunt with me?" she asked. It had been a bit since she had been out on a hunt, and she was excited for it. She also wanted to make sure her skills hadn't completely gone away. What kind of leader would she be if she couldn't hunt?

Graycloud purred quietly to herself when Greynose accepted herself. She tilted her head when he asked Eaglefeather if he wanted any more of the cats gathered. She personally didn't feel like the den was too crowded, but maybe she had just gradually gotten used to it as the moons passed and the den filled. Either way, she was glad that she could do something for the comfort of her clanmates, even if not specifically for herself.

Lupine calmly smoothed down the wild fur on her chest as she listened to Shroud's answer. "Oh, I don't mind!" She said, looking up when Shroud had finished speaking. "And, I suppose you're right too. Hot weather bothers me far more than cold weather." She agreed, excitement suddenly flooding her gaze. "Besides, I actually enjoy Leaf-fall. It's the best season of the year!" She exclaimed, barely resisting her childish urge to get up and prance about in the leaves that had fallen into the clearing.

Eaglefeather shook his head, "I think we'll be fine, and we shouldn't be long." He reassured him, as he backed away from the group of cats and towards the entrance. "Good luck Greynose. We'll be back soon!" Eaglefeather called to the older tom, before turning and breaking into a full run to try and catch up with Twistedpaw. He found the she cat just outside of the camp, and he paused to catch his breath when he reached her side. "Okay, I think we're ready to leave." He said a little breathlessly. "Maybe we could stop and collect herbs along the way." He suggested, smiling weakly. "Are there any particular herbs that you and Specklednose are lacking?"

At the she-cat's outgoing responsiveness, Shroud's ears perked up. However, her expression remained neutral while her dark grey eyes slightly lit up. She even had a bit of a curiously amused look as she tilted her head slightly at Lupine's excitement. However, the faint lightness faded quickly as she shuffled her paws. Deciding it best to say something, the Sharpclaw responded with, "I do like this season as well, but I must admit, Leaf-bare is my favorite."
