Eagleheart - Tom - 25 moons - Tagged: Boapaw
Eagleheart had been sleeping uneasily in his nest. He hadn't had a restful night since the loss of his mate, so when he awoke, he looked and felt haggard, a shadow of his former bubbly self. He gave himself a halfhearted grooming in his nest, as he had actually devoted himself to Boapaw's training, determined that she would come out strong. He planned to make her a part of the resistance once he could be sure of her loyalties and skill, but until then he would simply focus on making her a great warrior. She and his daughter were his last two reasons to stick around and try to fight for the old WildClan. So, more or less neat, he slunk out of the warriors' den and went to greet his apprentice. "Morning, Boapaw, ready to hunt?" He asked, putting on his old, cheerful persona- it felt like a mask, but a mask that fit his face perfectly. His belly was almost always knotted in anxiety.
Dawnpaw - She-cat - 8 moons - Tagged: Apprentices, Boapaw, Eagleheart,
Dawnpaw awoke to the sound of her father's voice and sprang to her paws, ignorant of the other sleeping apprentices. She hardly ever spent time with him anymore. She raced out to greet him, bits of moss clinging to her long-furred pelt. "Dad!" She meowed as she leaped onto his back. He staggered slightly and shook her off.
"Dawnpaw, groom yourself." He said, gently nudging her. "I'm going to take Boapaw hunting, but maybe if you ask him nicely Spiritfire will do the same. But certainly not if you're bringing half of your nest." Despite his gently scolding words, Eagleheart was purring.
Dawnpaw groaned. "I never see you any more." she muttered, though she purred as they rubbed cheeks, before she stood off to the side to obey her father and groom, watching the warriors' den like a hawk to see when Spiritfire was going to come out.
Eagleheart turned back to Boapaw. "Need to do anything before we leave?" he asked her.
Shadowpatch - Tom - 18 moons - Tagged: Ravenwing
Shadowpatch left the warrior's den, glanced only briefly in the direction of the apprentices' den, then snatched a couple of prey-pieces off of the pile before going to visit his sister. It still hurt him a little inside to see Boapaw, but at least she seemed to be growing up all right, and that was the main thing. Now if only he didn't have to still sleep in the same den as Heatherflight, he would be fine. He stopped in the entrance to the medicine den, dropped the prey and called softly, "Ravenwing? Are you awake?"
Kinktail - Shadow She-cat - 300 moons - Tagged: Open
Kinktail had gotten up early to stretch her legs in a short hunt, and was now lounging in a corner of camp eating a plump rabbit, scanning camp for living warriors that might be easy targets for a little torment, or tempting ones. She would prefer to go after her kin and the kin of her worst tormentors in her past life, but she couldn't be absolutely certain which were which, so she had taken to going after whomever looked like they were trying to avoid notice.
All that is gold does not glitter;
not all those who wander are lost;
the old that is strong does not wither;
deep roots are not reached by the frost.
