He nodded slowly, growling mentally to himself. He began padding up to the deputy, in front of Whistlesong and his apprentice. "Tigerfoot!" He called, plastering a smile on his face. "May we go on a hunting patrol?" He asked, beckoning for the other two to stand beside him.

Mistpetal eventually settled down at the base of a tree to groom her feathery fur, busying herself with that to take away from the slight boredom that was beginning to grow inside the usually patient cat. Perhaps she could make up an excuse to see Shyshadow? No, she couldn't waste his time like that...

Tigerfoot's attention was snagged away as a group of three walked up to him. Lightpaw, Wolfheart, and Whistlesong. "Of course you can go!" The deputy laughed, waving his tail and shifting his weight to his back limbs as he sank to the ground. "Be careful to stay away from the river right now, though. It's going to be flooding soon with all the melting snow." He reminded them with a slightly concerned smile. "Off you go then!" He chuckled on a happier note, "Good luck!"

Lightpaw followed after her mentor, feeling a bit warm and fuzzy inside; this was her first time going on a hunt with more than one cat. Of course, Lightpaw herself still wasn't the best hunter, but she tried her best, and usually caught at least one piece of prey before they made it back home. And for her age, that was.. pretty good! Her thoughts were interrupted as the deputy replied. As he mentioned the flooding river she shivered; just imagining falling into the swirling cold made her feel sick.

He nodded his thanks to the deputy, then trotted to the forest, turning and waiting for the others with a smile. "What do you want to hunt?" He asked to no one in particular as they set off. "Birds? Squirrels? Mice?" He wasn't trying to be in control- he was just under a bit of pressure, being around Whistlesong. It was strange...

Lightpaw bounded after the two on sleek legs, swishing her tail in an excited manner. As Wolfheart asked what they'd like to hunt, she tilted her head. She wasn't sure herself; it was usually just anything that she could find. Birds sounded a bit hard to catch, and she assumed they were, considering she'd never caught one herself. "Maybe a few mice," she said thoughtfully, glancing towards her mentor with a shy smile.

Growing bored of observing, Stormsong slipped into the forest, perhaps to do some solitary hunting or climb some trees, just something that wasn't watching her fellow clan members. It wasn't too long after she had left the camp that she caught a vaguely familiar scent, and she slowed from her trot to approach, wanting to see which cat it was before she went bounding over.
Hm. Ah, that's... Adderfur. The she-cat thought to herself, and, deciding that she could use some company, she disregarded what other cats had said about him not being the friendliest and prowled out into his line of view.
