The apprentice flicked his ear, a small sign of happiness. He remembered from his walk last night that he had seen catmint, he remembered it near the twoleg nest. "I saw some near the twoleg nest", he said. Then, remembering that they had to have a warrior with them, "Echospring and her apprentice can come, that way we will have a warrior with us", he spoke eagerly, he loved being outside of camp.

Mudpelt, even though he was a friendly and a jumpy cat, wasn't the kind of cat who liked to have help too much. The idea of a warrior and a apprentice leading him just to get herbs made him stubborn, but since it was near a Two-leg nest, that could consist of a dog or snappy kittypet, they needed the extra protection. He nodded slowly, "alright." But you can tell he wasn't too keen. The medicine cat started to make his way to the entrance.

He smiled, hearing his leaders praise, but as he looked to Mudpelt, he felt a twinge of guilt. Oops, he thought to himself. He decided to talk to the new apprentice, and he walked up to her, "Hi", he said.

Mudpelt stopped by the entrance and sat, waiting. He hoped that his apprentice didn't start a chat that would last a moon with the new apprentice. He pricked his ears as the wind ruffled his pelt.
