I held my hand to his muzzle as water came up fol the grass and over the blood to clean off his fur. I pulle don't hand back as I was finished and put my hands in my jean pockets. "No thanks needed." I said and looked at the grass. I didn't want to tell them I was afraid of the big wolf.

chester, curious as to what the "crowd" of three people were up to, whirred back through the air to them. he hovered above them, drifting down gently. "two.. wolves.. and a girl," he muttered, words only audible to those other elven creatures. "peculiar." chester tumble-turned down to them, landing on the girl's shoulder. standing on her shoulder, his head only reached the bottom of her ear-lobe.
how could she feel him from that size? she wouldn't be able to. never. unless, chester thought, she's an elf too?
