Hickorykit walked forward. Himself and Honeykit had bathed each other, making sure they were clean to go in front of the clan. With no mother, they had learned to do a lot on their own. Hickorykit sat next to his litter mate. He waited for Reedstar to call him and Honeykit up. Hickorykit went first out of the den. He made the long walk up to his leader.

Cloverheart came when Reedstar called for a meeting. He sat down, feeling very proud of his two kits. They were final old enough to be apprentices. Cloverheart knew that he could make both of them proud if he were to become deputy. But he wouldn't let his whole life revolve around that. After all, Cloverheart with in the next few days would ask his kits mentors if he would take them out, just the three of them. He looked to see Hickorykit leading the two of them out of the nursery and up to Reedstar.

Honeykit fallowed her brother out. She became aware of all the cats looking at her. Hickorykit seemed not to be bothered by it. But Honeykit was freaking out. What if she tripped, or ran into some cat. Honeykit looked down at her paws, making sure that she would no trip. She almost ran into her brother when he stopped, they had made it to the top. Honeykit sat down next to Hickorykit.

Swanpaw gazed at the kits being made into apprentices and a loud purr erupted in her chest. It was bliss when she was finally leaving the nursery, free of the milk scented den and the queen's fussing. She was proud to be a medicine cat apprentice even though her litter-mates would tease her about it by saying stupid things like 'Eww, have fun with ill cats' and 'You hunt plants? whats the point'. She knew that one day they would forgive her but for now she had to put up with the teasing. Her gaze flickered onto her mentor and then she returned it to the kits and the ceremony.
