bramblepaw was thinking about crossing the border when she herd her best friend calling for her bramblepaw ran toward her she pounced on her in surprise and put her paw and toxicpaws mouth

toxicpaws eyes widened she pushed bramblepaws paw off her mouth "where were you!" she asked

"i was near the border why" she ask calmly

"i dont know i just was worried you was gonna do somthin stupid" she said

"oh wow" bramblepaw said

Foxkit's eyes grew even wider. "How do cats end up there?"

Paintedface shrugged. "By being villains. Murdering cats, trying to take over Clans. Stuff no kit should ever dream of doing." He added with a brief nod, waving his tail dismissively at the haunting mists. "There are a million places to see, you two. Why look at the scarier ones?"

Foxkit didn't reply for a moment. Taking over the Clans. "Would that mean you were the boss of everyone?" He asked Paintedface. "If you took over the Clans?"

"No. Every cat who has attempted it is either exiled or killed." Paintedface was uneasy about the kit's idea and tone. It didn't seem like something he'd want to spark.

"But if they succeeded..." Foxkit said. Being the boss of everyone sounded great to him. He didn't like the way Fireflykit would speak when he didn't understand what she said. She spoke slowly, as if he were dumb. He didn't like how Cinderfrost wouldn't let him go out on the territory with the apprentices. If he was the boss of everyone, they would all have to do as he said.

"No." Paintedface said plainly. "Because they wouldn't. If the other cats couldn't stop them, StarClan would. We have ways. Then you'd suffer an eternity of misery, and have nothing to show for it." He looked at the kit and sighed, almost knowing perfectly well what he was thinking. "Being the boss isn't that great. You are limited to keep you safe. You'd likely be injured or worse if you went off without a guide, or if you didn't have as many rules you'd be put in jeopardy."
