SunClan's Story [New Thread]

(*rasies hand quickly* I know I changed it to Silentstep, but I want it back to Loudstep. The real Loudpaw(the cat he was based from) has vanished mysteriously and that was going to be his warrior name(yes, I give all my cats that I have a strong connection with a warrior name). So I'd like it to be that again. >.> )

Loudstep licked his leader's shoulder in return, just as many generations before him have done. He went to turn his head to share a smile with Skypaw, but quickly turned away again. His head hadn't even moved much, so it wasn't evendent. His tail didn't even stand, it slumped limply on the ground. He still didn't feel like he belonged, not without Skypaw's warm confidence.

A tall, thin she-cat
with light grey-brown fur
and forest-green eyes.

Eaglestar glanced between them, wondering what had happened, and if she should try to talk to them. No, she decided after a moment. This was likely something they'd have to work out between the two of them. With a nod at the newly named Loudstep, Eaglestar turned to Skypaw.
"Skypaw," she began, looking into the young she-cat's eyes. "Do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?"

(Thanks, and I don't think he's alive anymore. He was an outside cat and I think something bad might have happened to my baby :'C His older brother is still alive though, and I raised him comlpetely.)

Loudstep took a deep breath, stepping away. He sat down with a solem glance at the white and grey she-cat. He looked down again, his white paws tinted with brown from the dust and dirt. He watched as a single tear fell into the soild, his pink nose tingling and his claws sinking into the ground, neck fur bristleing.

Skypaw looked backwards, catching the look Frostwing gave her. With a prick of awkwardness she moved away. Trying to hide herself from the cat's view. Probably gaining up on her too. She moved behind Brindlestripe and looked at Eaglestar. " I do."

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Skypaw, from this moment you will be known as Skylark. StarClan honors your courage and spirit, and we welcome you as a full warrior of SunClan." As she had with Loudpaw, she gently rested her muzzle on the new warrior's head.

Skypaw smiled, she was a warrior now. She couldn't help, but let a prick of excitement flow through her. Thrusting her tail she smiled and sat beside her mentor. Was he proud of her? Forgetting about her fight with Loudstep she smiled at Orionkit with pride. "Congrats. You too Sparrowkit, Specklekit, Brightkit." she said gently.

"Stonepaw, Orionpaw, Specklepaw, Brightpaw, Sparrowpaw! Loudstep, Skylark!" Frostwing chanted, just a tad quieter then the rest. This wasn't a rude gesture, of course. The she-cat was just used to speaking in a lower tone then anyone else, even when chanting out the names of new apprentices or warriors. Standing up, the she-cat flicked her tail and glanced at the sky. It was a mixture of golds, salmon pink, and peach. Late Afternoon. She was running out of time before they had to leave. A sob choked within her, but she held it back, telling herself to be strong. Staring at Eaglestar, she silently pleaded that she could tell the she-cat.

Loudstep made his way to Frostwing. "We should leave soon. You should take Lightpaw out for a 'hunt', and I'll meet you by the dirtplace tunnel when my vigle starts." he meowed, casting a long glance back to Skylark. It greived him not to be staying with her during the vigle, but he had a mission. I'm sorry. he mouthed, turning back to Frostwing.

Skylark shifted her weight from her right side to her left side, she looked around. Tonight she would sit in vigil! Excitement pricked through her, she ignored Loudstep. After smiling and congratulating the apprentices she walked off. Skylark lifted her head, she looked at the sky, her aqua colored eyes bright. The she cat shook out her pelt. Her mentor? She needed to go towards him." Im finally a warrior!" she said with pride.
