As she slept, Daisypup was dreaming of talking with Nightpaw and asking him to teach her the basics of fighting. She was old enough to learn after all.

His dream changed from Duskpup to the rest of his pack. His brave and gentle father, his caring mother, his story-telling grandmother, his fun aunt and uncle, and his playful cousins. He felt happy being with them, even if only through dreams. He vowed to his pack that he'd bring Duskpack back someday. Even if it took a thousand moons he'd find a way to do it.

Duskpelt glanced to him, sighing in defeat. "err..yeah, okay" she nodded sadly. She'd enjoyed his company, and she was beginning to think he was growing sick-or annoyed-with her. She seemed to overthink minor things a lot. Her tail paused its wagging, her skull momentarily pressing to his shoulder, a simple affectionate gesture. "Goodnight Cindermist" she murmured against his fur, before pulling away to head back to the entrance. Someone had to guard it, their camp was at risk right now..

"Goodnight, Duskpelt." He spoke softly, a small smile apparent on his features. Cindermist walked off towards the Warriors Den, curling up to sleep. The beta drifted off to sleep, his thoughts filled with worry for Duskpelt's wellbeing.

Duskpelt sat alone at the camps entrance. Her eyes scanned her surroundings constantly, as if paranoid. Her back was aching, so she lied on her stomach, her chin resting on her paws while she watched the still forest. There wasn't a sound, not from the camp, and not from the forest. It was peaceful. But her mind, was not.

Eaglepaw yawned, stretching his small brown body, before pounding out of the apprentice's den into the cheery morning sunlight. A perfect day for hunting! he thought excitedly, sniffing the air. Already it was teeming with smells of wildlife; birds, squirrels, rabbits and hares, even a few deer and perhaps a fox. His tail wagged furiously as he walked around the camp, inhaling the wonderful scents of spring and the morning. Eaglepaw licked the grass, savoring the sweet freshness of morning dew.
He eventually circled back in front of the apprentice's den, and settled in a patch of sunshine to wait for his packmates to wake up.

He woke from his dream feeling happy, dignified and determined. As he stretched he saw Eaglepaw sitting in a patch of sunlight. "Hi Eaglepaw." he said joining the other apprentice in the sun.

The older pup woke early. She had been so eager to get a good night sleep so she and Nightpaw could go hunting. Daisypup quietly raised her head to look and see if Fallensnow was up. She couldn’t go hunting with at least telling Fallensnow. But Daisypup didn’t want to wake her adoptive mother. She could use the extra sleep. After all Fallensnow had her paws full with taking care of the pups.
