"We need to get the other cats as soon as possible," he hissed to the blind tom. "If you don't mind, me and Frostclaw are going to go feed you guys. Go get Songbreeze, Twilightfur, and Runningpaw... If you don't mind." Larkpaw spat at the older cat, turning around to bound towards the woods, hoping to find a rabbit again. His plan was ingenious! Why was Rivershade so... Larkpaw shook his head to clear the thoughts, and focused on the scents around him. Forest, trees, rain, canine, Frostclaw, Rivershade... the list goes on. And out of the midst of the othre scents, he scented fear, the most overpowering one of all, rising from the bay of them all. Fear. Starclan sent them to do this, why should they be so scared? He'd have to admit for himself- he was most definately scared, but not as much anymore

I lashed my tail, narrowing my eyes to cold slits. I just stared at him. A stare that could pierce fear through a cat's heart. Yeah, sure. Blind. "Excuse me?" I mewed, my voice low, and echoing with rage. I had to hold back despretly from unseathing my claws. I took a deep breath, closing my eyes peacefully. And then... I just burst. Turning furiously to Larkpaw, i yelled, "No one is going anywhere!!" My voice rung through, spreading over the feild. Gritting my teeth, I growled at the two, "The other prophecy cats are back there, sleeping on the island! If you want them, go get them!!"

"Well at least I'm not the one whinning about being tired, and actually doing something productive! The only time I'd have to get them is after I come back, and it'd be dark by then! Which would you fancy, being starved or having two extra cats just for some mouse-brained prophecy? Honestly, I'd rather eat than have two more rocks on my back! GO GET THEM!" Larkpaw stared at the older cat, seething and bursting in anger. He had a temper, favoring from his mother. She always told him to try to hold in the anger, but it never really worked for him. "I'm tired of doing everything for everycat!" Now, he wasn't talking about now. He was talking about his own life, before all of this happened, and shortly after the wolves attacked. His mother had been to shocked to do anything, so he had to take complete care for her, and her newborn kits, her half brothers and sisters. Everybody expecting so much for him! He'd only been an apprentice for what, three moons?! "Do it yourself!" And with that said, he stormed off into the woods, by himself, and wanting it to stay that way.

Filled with fury, I lunged at him. Baring my teeth, I pinned him down. Gental, Rivershade! I reminded myself, and loosened his grip. With an ominous low growl, I told the kid, "Oh, sorry you're so worried about stuffing mice down your gullett then you are to listening to Starclan's words!?" I snickered as the next words came, "Oh, so productive are you!? Well show me how productive you are when you're tugging us behin on the journey because you're tired!!" I spat it in the ki's face. Lashing my tail, I growled at him, "Yeah, 'cause I'm whining! Think o' the future! We rest now, and save our energy for our journey! Or would you rather eat, then get killed by ten dozen wolves!?"

Larkpaw snarled fiercely when the tom had him down, and quickly got up after he let go. "Oh excuse me, hold up! Since when did I say we could never sleep?! Food is a source of profound energy, as is rest! I would never restrain you guys from the neccasities for our journey! You go sleep, whatever! Go to sleep! Sleep a moon for all I care! For Starclans sake, why doesn't everybody just drop into a deep sleep and never wake up?" Larkpaw was about to slit this mousebrained cats throat open if he didn't shut up! Larkpaw raised his head defiantly, eyes locked into the swimming blue of Rivershade's. Larkpaw raised a pale grey paw, slamming it on the ground in front of him. "I don't know why Starclan chose a useless troublemaker, argumenative cat to go with us! You're equivalent to a sack of lazy newborn kittypets! Why don't you just give up and go home, if all you're going to do is complain on how I do everything wrong! At this point, I don't care if you're in some stupid prophecy! Now go away!" Larkpaw spat the last word at the tom, bounding off quickly in what closely resembled rabbit leaps, flying over jagged stones and sharp thorn vines.

I gritted my teeth, full of rage, 'watching' the kit's scent go with wide eyes. Unable to bear it any longer, I screamed out at him, "Well Go Then!!" My words came loud and strong, "Go Get Eaten By A Pack Of Wolves, While I Leead A Group The Right Way!!!" I stopped staring back at the apprentice's scent trail with wide eyes. With a final lash of my tail, I swam back to camp.

Finding my way to the rest of the group, I tok a breath. Sighing heavily to relieve the strees, I padded towards them. "Save up you're energy," I mewed to them. The scents of Dovecloud, Gingerspots and Runningpaw dristing to my nose. "We'll plan tomorrow night."

Larkpaw sneered at his words, shaking his head. "You have it all wrong, Rivershade. You're the one leaving, not me." Of course, the apprentice knew that the tom had left far from earshot, and he was cearly talking to himself. When he had the chance, he'd curl around to get the other cats, knowing that they'd be following and not leading, get them and let Gingerspots tell them where the tunnel was. Okay, so the blind freak was mad at him for wanting to hunt? Larkpaw scratched at the dirt, anger burning up through his pale blue eyes. They had the same mindset, they were all wanting to go the right way. What in the name of Starclan was he talking about? While I'll lead the group...the right way. What he meant by this? Larkpaw shivered at the possiblities of the meaning, but shoved them far back, slamming his paw into the hardpacked earth, not even touched by the small mist of rain

The large silver tom, angered by Rivershade's words ran after Rivershade. How dare he talk to Larkpaw like that! Frostclaw thought in anger, his icy blue eyes now slits. He unsheathed his long white claws and lunged at Rivershade with enough force to knock the blind tom down.

"Agh!!" I gasped as Frostclaw bowled me over. I looked him in the face, staring coldly at his scent. I might be in pain from his claws piercing my skin, but I'd stare down this cat forever! I lahsed my tail, batting him hard in with my paw. Aim towards the breathing, and you get 'em in the muzzle. That simple! I may be mean, or rude, but at least I follow rules! "So you fight words with claws, do you? It's like fighting water with fire!" I spat in his face.

I jerked awake, disturbed by a sudden noise. I looked around. I was in the stuffed hollow tree again, crammed into a puny nest next all the other leaders. Taking a quick glance, I reliazed I'd fallen asleep with my head practically laying atop of Spadestar. I blushed at the thought. But then I frowned, trdging tiredly out of the den. Yes, it was still the middle of the night. I blinked my eyes, straining themn to see through the dark There were two figures, both toms. Rivershade, and who was it? Frostclaw. I lifted my head, gritting my teeth in anger. Just then, something glinted in the moonlight. I looked closer, straining my eyes. Wait- "Frostclaw!!" I growled, trying not to wake anyone else. Storming up to the two warriors, I mewed, "How dare you use claws against another warrior!?"

Frostclaw gave a low growl. "You attacked an apprentice! You're no better than me," he hissed back as sheathed his claws, little drops of Rivershade's blood were on the tips. "Don't even dare to lay another whisker on Larkpaw," he threatened quietly before Eaglestar came towards them. Frostclaw narrowed his eyes at Eaglestar, his icy blue eyes staring into her fiery amber eyes before he dipped his head. "Sorry, Eaglestar. It wont happen again." He mewed flatly, his blue eyes dead.
