"I miss Articwhisper and hope he can come back if he wants to," Cranepaw meowed, tail flicking. "We voted to soon without enough evidence," she sighed, ears flicking. "I'm going to find Mistbreeze and see if she wants to do any training," she murmured, knowing she had to keep training if she wanted to get rid of the murder. "Mistbreeze!" she called, trying to keep her voice controlled.

Jadestar slowly opened her eyes, having decided to sleep in. She heard a small commotion going on, so she quickly woke up. With a quick shake of her fur, she made her way over to the noise, scrunching her nose as she smelled the pungent odor. A chill ran down her spine, but she maintained a calm demeanor. "What's going on?"

He looked at jadedstar "they're dead. Flamingheart and pigeonspot are gone. It wasn't arcticwhisper. We were wrong. " He shook his head grief set in again

Ottersnap sat down, more just letting his body go limp; unable to hold himself up at the moment. Shock was still settling into his system, his body feeling numb. Ears layed back flat in a show of emotion quite unusual for the normally grumpy tom, he looked up at Blazingsun and Jadestar, eyes wide with shock.

"Are you sure? They're.... they're both really dead?" Ottersnap's voice shook as he spoke, and he looked more vulnerable than he had perhaps in his entire life.

He was so caught up with how upset he was to lose his sister he almost forgot he was their clans medicine cat. They needed his strength. "Here ottersnap I'll get you something for shock. But they are. I don't know who and I don't know why but this time they managed to get into MY den and mess with my stores. We need to set a guard at the medicine den. I'm not going to let anyone into my den without it being seen." He turned quickly and went to his den to get ottersnap something for shock. Before he returned he stared at the foxglove that had been tampered with. "Whoever you are you will suffer just as our clanmates have..." he promised to himself and trotted back to ottersnap.

The fur on Jadestar's neck stood on end when Blazingsun confirmed the two cats had in fact perished. She heard the pain in Ottersnap's voice, and she felt her soul get crushed a little more. Having lost her own child during the first bout of killings, she could imagine how he felt, and even more so knowing that Jadestar herself had exiled the wrong cat. Her ear twitched as the medicine cat left and she put some thought into what he said about having a cat guard the den. With their small numbers, itd be difficult, and should the guard be the culprit.. Jadestar shook her head as he returned to clear that thought from her mind. Without turning her head, she said "If you wish to have a guard, by all means do so. However I'll leave the responsibility of finding someone to do so to you." She wanted to say more, to accuse him, but since she had been wrong the first time, she refrained from making unjust accusations. Flexing her claws into the ground, she instead resolved to 'dispatch' of the killer herself when they found them.

for all intents and purposes (plot/intended kills), this round of mir takes place in the forest territories
word spread quickly of flamingheart and pigeonspot's demises, afterall riverclan's numbers had shrunk considerably by this point. the two warriors were found stiff in their nests, unable to be moved from their curled positions. blazingsun quickly labeled foxglove as the culprit of their deaths, given the state of paralysis and his missing supply. anxiety, fear, and anger ran rampant through each cat, as they realized with horror that they exiled the wrong cat, leading to two more deaths. jadedstar quickly made her way to her rock, once more skipping a formal calling for the clan.

"riverclan!" she yowled, "our clan has once more been attacked. it pains me deeply to know i made the decision to exile an innocent cat. i will not make the same mistake twice," she lashed her tail and paced, frustrated that she could not pin who did this. there was no clear motive, all she had was the methods. nobody seemed out of character, peace was generally amongst riverclan. so what happened?

cranepaw was the first to turn on blizzardstrike- her own father. "i... i've noticed blizzardstrike a bit more moody," she mewed sheepishly, regretful of the accusation but certain that something had to be done. eyes turned to the clan's deputy, and he kept his composure as the accusations came filing in. as the murmur grew louder, he drew himself to his paws and padded to jadedstar and her rock, leaping up to address the clan.

"i am quite frankly disgusted with these heinous accusations. to think i would murder my son and fellow clanmates is unfathomable," he maintained his composure as he spoke, eyeing each cat with disgust. "but i suppose the tides are against me now, aren't they?" he turned to jadedstar, expecting at the very least for her to know the truth, but instead was met with an angry rake across the face.

"they are, indeed, blizzardstrike! we've had four deaths now, for no known rhyme or reason, and we're running out of options!" she hissed, flexing her claws as she felt blood on her paws. blizzardstrike stumbled back, one eye closed in pain. he flattened his ears and continued to back away in surprise. he glanced to see the rest of riverclan at their paws, and turned back to see jadedstar advancing on him.

"get out of my clan or so help me starclan i'll drive you out myself!" she yowled, lunging once more at the deputy before he dodged, causing the blind leader to crash to her paws. she found her footing and stood, furious. she huffed and turned towards his scent, anger more than anything coursing through her. "leave. now." she said coldly, not needing to add any threat to the end of her demand. blizzardstrike blinked as the realization set in that this was no longer his home. he turned and stalked out, refusing to look back at his former clanmates.

he made his way to the twolegplace, worried his injured eye would be infected without proper care. however, he did not want to live the kittypet life, and so decided to only stay as long as he was cared for before turning to the city cat life, now a one-eyed cat to reckon with.

oh no, riverclan! it appears blizzardstrike wasn't your killer. time's a' tickin'.

for all intents and purposes (plot/intended kills), this round of mir takes place in the forest territories
cranepaw always had much difficulty sleeping, having started when she was a kit without her mother. nights were often long as she peered out of her den in boredom. suffice it to say, she's had an eye on what's been going on around riverclan. although her eyesight was not the best in the dark, both nights there were attacks, cranepaw had seen the figure that killed them. she just couldn't make out very many distinctive features. but even though they exiled blizzardstrike and named him responsible for the murders, cranepaw wanted to make sure that she was correct. so for this night, she made sure she was especially aware of her surroundings.

she brought her lonesome nest to the entrance of her den and waited. but as the minutes turned to hours, the young she-cat couldn't help but began to doze off. she was woken by the sound of rustling at the camp's entrance, opening her eyes to watch as a tail disappeared from camp. alarmed, she stood to her paws and quickly but carefully followed the stranger, hopeful that this time she'll catch whoever's been up to no good. though she couldn't make out their distinct scent, she could still follow the powerful riverclan trail. they led her deep into riverclan's territory, eventually making it to the falls. she carefully made her way down the gorge, finding herself near the small waterfall. it was cold and dark, giving her literal and metaphorical chills.

she sniffed around, trying to figure out where the other party went. anxiety began to fill her as she realized she had no idea where they were, but knew they probably knew where she was. she padded along the river's side, frustrated that she could hear very little over the roaring fall. perhaps she had lost them and made her way to the falls for no reason. or perhaps one of her clanmates had just needed a bit of fresh air- after all, she only heard one cat leave the camp, not two. she gave herself a nervous chuckle as she thought that if anyone was to be killed now, it'd be her. sighing, she stood to her paws and decided to make her trek back to camp.

as she stood, she heard a voice call out from above her. "cranepaw!" they yowled, carrying their voice over the sound of the water. cranepaw whipped her head, desperate to pinpoint where the voice was coming from. she made her way to the wall of the gorge, lifting her head to scan the tops to see if she could make out any figures. she paced along it, calling back in response, "i'm down here!" she cried, abandoning all sense of fear and danger. curiosity and determination fueled the apprentice. she heard rustling above her, and as she looked up, she looked in horror as a large object came hurtling down towards her. frozen, the young she-cat had no time to respond.

the rock landed on her with a loud crunch. her killer made their way down to cranepaw, pitying the apprentice. "i'm sorry, kid," they said somberly, "i know you did nothing wrong. but i know you've been watching me... i can't have you telling on me." their words fell on deaf ears, though, as cranepaw struggled to breathe and maintain her consciousness. but she quickly slipped away, dying at her killers paws. they sighed, guilt itching at them. but they had a mission to fulfil; no cat, not even an apprentice, could get in their way. they made their way back to camp, uneasily settling in their nest for the night. for once, they felt guilt.

there goes your witness! hopefully, you can solve this mystery without them.

The dark speckled-feline was quiet and extremely stressed as of late. Cats...disappearing. The bodies of Flamingheart and Pigeonspot was sapped straight into her mind. Keeping the fear inside of her was no easy task, not in the slightest. At this point forward she didn't think she was safe at all. Hoping that was just exactly what it was, sleeping. She was extremely worried. What if Blizzardstrike wasn't actually the killer? The thought lingering up directly to her mind the moment she woke up.

The sun might've been lifted, but her spirit was not. It was more a nervous trot out of her nest very quickly to look around. No one in the clearing. Did I wake up too early? The flick of her tail, eyes wide and looking back over at the warrior's den. She saw Ottersnap was still curled up and sleeping. I guess I did. It just sounded so quiet. The sound of the apprentices, Gullpaw and Sunpaw just...gone. No cat awake.

She felt alone, in a way. Nervous, nervous pacing endured the cat, not sure of what much to do next. Would she wake up a cat? Would she look around at least to see whom was even there? I would hate to walk in on a den and smell that...stench. She hadn't really recalled smelling anything weird when she woke up, though thankfully. It didn't seem the same as to what happened with the warriors. How could've I just...thought that was my nose lying? Her staring back at the warriors den, just thinking about it made her fur shiver down her spine.
