The feline somewhat listened to every cat's conversation, taking his time to listen to other cats. Blinking and taking a moment to itch one of his ears with a paw. "Alright, perfect." He meowed as he counted every cat with his tail. "We'll make sure we get plenty of pray," throat clearing for a moment, "I hope." he added, a lot more quietly. Honesty, Sparrowdusk just simply decided he wanted to get things over with. They could get some kills, training and to not worry about much thereafter for the rest of the day! His eyes blinked a few bits though to look at any other cats that could have woken up from the commotion of the cats getting up.

He would rather not bother them anyway, Mottlestar could handle them. As she says, as the code says anyway. "We'll be off now." Tail swayed, coaxing the other cats to follow. Pawsteps going off to exit the clan camp. So much small talk, not even much about every cat's day. Really dawned on him now that they were moving. Yet, he did not want to be a distraction, neither did he want to forget about training Cranepaw. Or even helping to train the other apprentices.

Cranepaw quickly got her paws and followed Sparrowdusk, her ears pricked forward and alert. Scenting the air, she blinked. "Did Blazingsun come out early?" she asked, glancing behind at the rest of the patrol before glancing towards Sparrowdusk, waiting for an answer.

Grassleap - Male - Medicine Cat - Tags:Camp - Vote:Abstain

Grassleap pokes his head into camp, looking around before stepping out of the medicine den. He calls a greeting to the others in camp before moving to sit in a patch of sun nearby.

ＲＩＶＥＲＣＬＡＮ

The patrol made their way out of camp, expecting
it to be a normal day. As they combed their territory,
they caught a whiff of some stale prey. Thinking an
apprentice from another clan probably had snuck in
during the night, they followed the trail of small prey,
and uncovering the abandoned kills. It eventually led
the patrol to the thunderpath, the scent of death
stronger there than anywhere else.

Fearing the worst, the patrol followed the scent until
they saw a mass of.. Something. Though, some bloody
patches of orange and white gave it away quickly that
it was their missing clan-mate, Blazingsun. The cats
wondered what could have done something so atrocious
to have left nothing but a mangled body left behind, but
a monster blazing over the mass that used to be a cat
made it clear. Apparently, monsters did not stop even for
a deceased cat on its path.

Though the patrol tried to retrieve their comrades body
so they could have a proper burial but, there was not
much to salvage and the danger was just not worth it.
So they left the body there, returning to camp to report
the news.

The death was chalked up to a late night mis-step, leading
to their early death. Regardless, the camp was quiet most
of the day, and several of the cats gathering to hold a sort
of funeral for them, burying some of the prey Blazingsun
had caught in the absence of their body. That night, the
breeze seemed much colder.

It seems the blazing sun has set, and the case has gone
cold.
