bramblestorm's eyes slowly opened as sunlight filtered into the den. she lifted her head groggily and glanced around the den, realizing she was one of the last warriors still asleep. panicking, she brought herself to her paws and rushed out of the den, not bothering to smooth her unkempt fur. she noticed the group of apprentices gathered around their mentors, spotting reedpaw in the mix.

mousedung, she thought bitterly, i'm doing awfully as a mentor. i can't even get up before my apprentice!

she bounded over, picking up the last of sparrowdusk's conversation, pricking her ears at the word patrol. "reedpaw and i could join you," she butted in awkwardly. "not sure if a three cat patrol is big enough."

Mottlestar padded over to her deputy and the ones he was talking to, overhearing Sparrowdusk and Bramblestorm talk about setting up a patrol. "I think that's a good idea. You can train your apprentices and catch more fresh-kill for the clan while you're at it. The pile is shrinking a bit too fast for this time of year." She shivered slightly due to the cold, but quickly shook herself out of it. "Six cats should be enough for one patrol, I and the rest can watch over camp. You can go whenever you're ready."

Gullpaw glowed at the praise, already feeing warmer and ready to start the day. His attention turned to the deputy, who was addressing him and flamingheart. Patrol? New found energy coursed through his veins, and he found himself paying little mind to the normal distractions his mind presented him with. The little grey apprentice rarely went on dawn patrol, so this was an exciting opportunity for him. He watched carefully as the patrol formed itself, itching to get out of camp.

A smile grows on her face as she gives greetings to all of the cats surrounding the two. She straightens at the deputys request, eyes sparkling at the idea of patrol. "We'd be honored to join the patrol." She noted with slight amusement that Gullpaw seemed just as eager as she felt.

She can feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins, admittedly excited that she and Gullpaw were chosen for dawn patrol. It was a privilege to get out there and make sure that everything is safe in their territory, and she hoped she would be able to teach Gullpaw a few things while they were out there.

he yawned as he pulled himself out of the warrior's den, taking in the dawn summer's light. he cast a glance to the side, noticing the forming patrol. would it be too late to join in? it's not like he really wanted to be on it anyway, a few more minutes of sleep couldn't hurt. though, stretching his legs now that he was already awake would still be nice. still, it seemed as if the patrol was already finished being made. archtuft flicked his tail and headed back inside the den, figuring that the others could handle the dawn patrol today.

Cranepaw nodded and followed after Sparrowdusk. Listening quietly, her ears pricked forward to see who else was on patrol with them. Hearing some of her denmates join her, she smiled, her tail flicking excitedly. "I'm ready to go," she meowed to Sparrowdusk, glancing at the fresh-kill pile, frowning at how low it was. Shaking her head, her eyes glanced over at Redpaw and Gullpaw, trying to think of something to do to make the patrol more fun.

The black and white cat burst out of her den, shaking out her messy fur and glancing around camp. "Aw, I overslept." Mistbreeze whined to herself as she saw the group of cats across camp preparing for a patrol. There's always tomorrow. She sat down with a yawn, pondering what she could do in camp. It didn't seem like much was going on. Mottlestar was hanging around camp but it seemed like she was the only other cat up and about besides the patrol.

bramblestorm dipped her head as mottlestar approached the group, flicking her ear in pleasure as their leader approved of the patrol. she felt a slight hot flash of embarrassment as she realized she miscounted the group, but remained silent on the matter. she glanced to reedpaw, noticing the apprentices grouping together already. she gave a huff of amusement and turned her attention to sparrowdusk and flamingheart, waiting for the deputy to give the go ahead.
