Jaykit started to look a little confused at what was happening.

"What?" Sunsetfeather meowed softly as her pelt fluffed up before checking right beside her. Her eyes grew to see that the elder was right. Looking back at Gingertail, she nodded,"Jaykit, stay with the elders." She quickly told her kit before darting out the den and straight for the leader,"Streamstar! Spiritkit's missing." She quickly told her, worry starting ti fill her eyes.

Trying to get back to the shore, Spiritkit found herself moving back towards the middle of the water as her paws paddled furiously and she tried to keep her head above the water, but was having trouble keeping herself up. Water splashing into her mouth, she accidentally swallow before she started coughing, only to swallow a bit more. Just then, she felt something slimy and scaly under her paws and tail, causing the young kit to shriek out of fear before her head went under, swallowing more water into her lungs as bubbles moved to the surface of the water.
