Cloudstrike nodded. " That is fine. She can come back when she is ready. So far, I think we have caught enough." He meowed. He bent his head to pick up a rabbit. " I'll meet you back at camp. I just have to pick up the rest of my prey." He added through the rabbit.

Pebblerun padded to Mintsplash and Stonekit. " Are you takin Stonekit on a little adventure? Just be watchful. We don't want him to eat anything." She told the warrior.

Frostwing thought about this for a moment, and looked over at her friend. "If I was the Medicine Cat, Sprucepaw may never have been my apprentices. We both may have not lived through the fire, and some cats may have not lived because I may have respond differently to their wounds then you. I have always wanted to learn the ways of healing, but I know now that it's not my destiny." She meowed softly, sincere with her words. "You are ten times the Medicine Cat I ever could be."

Frostwing always wondered what it would be like as a Medicine Cat. The true purpose was to connect with StarClan. She wanted to go to the Moonpool more then anything. Yet now, Frostwing wondered if there would even be a place like the Moonpool in their new, soon-to-be territory. She hoped so, or else many would be devastated.

Mintsplash nods to Pebblerun. "I'll make sure he doesn't. He's been really good so far." she meows, smiling down at Stonekit.

Pineclaw turned to snap at her; why wouldn't anyone leave him to mourn in peace? But he stopped himself as he saw the tiny kits at the queen's side, their eyes not even open yet. His expression softened. "I'm fine." he said instead, twitching his scarred ear. He cleared his throat. " Hollyclaw, isn't it? How are your kits doing?" he added, trying to change the subject. "You sure you should have them out here while they're this young?" he said, concerned. "Shouldn't they be in the nurs..." he trailed off, remembering that they no longer had a proper nursery. Just makeshift nests in the grass. "Should they be somewhere warmer?" he said instead. It was getting colder, and with kits this young...much better to be safe than sorry. "I'm sure I can get some apprentices to build you a proper nest." He smiled. "Maybe I'd even help them." He remembered the StoneClan nursery; a small cave, the cold floor well insulated with moss and rabbit fur, and the entrance shielded with thick brambles. There was nowhere so sheltered here, but they could make do with the grasses and moss.
He was beginning to feel more like himself; purposeful, not just moping about.

"So, Stonekit! What would you like to do now?" Mintsplash asks the kit. She looks around, desperate to find an activity or a game to show the young tom. A feather blows past, just close enough for her to catch. She quickly grabs the soft, light feather and places it on Stonekit's head. She giggled at the picture she was seeing right now. "Ok, Stonekit. I think I should go hunting. The clan is going to need some food! You should probably get some rest, and then we can play some more later, okay?" she tells the gray kit. She licks Stonekit's forehead in a goodbye and sets off to hunt on her own for a while in the forest.

{ medicine cat apprentice }

Spiderpaw looked up at his mentor, listening to the herbs he had listed. After a few moments of thought, he was ready to answer. "Chickweed does what catmint does. It cures greencough, but catmint is better. Coltsfoot eases breathing, and also helps with kitten cough. I'm pretty sure thyme helps cats who are nervous or are in shock. Tansy eases pain in the joints.. And um..I think it's used in traveling herbs too, right?" He replied, tilting his head as he tried to remember if tansy was a traveling herb or not.

"Right. We look for chickweed and catmint due to the fact that catmint is so hard to find." he meowed with an approving flick of his tail. His apprentice was doing well despite the fact that his training had been neglected for a few moons. The grey cat knew that once the tabby was a full medicince cat he'd be a great accet to the Clan. Shiverwhisker delved deep into thought about many things.

As Mintsplash bounds around the forests, she hears the voicce of Pineclaw, and bows her head to Hollyclaw and Pineclaw in greeting. She purrs loudly at the sight of the young kits at Hollyclaw's side, and smiles warmly at Pineclaw, happy that he's been talking and hopefully having a better day. She pauses for a moment to gaze at the kits again, and soon rushes toward the gentle splashing of the same stream she's been trying to go to for a while now.

Robinchaser yawned and padded towards the stream; which happened to be the one Mintsplash was headed to currently. He looked around and walked for a while.

Stonekit walked back over to pineclaw with a smile and laid next to him begining to doze off, he scooted closer to the tom as the cold wind blew at him.

Holliclaw noticed stonekit snuggle close to the tom "yea i would like to move them sime where warmer but there is no nursery yet and the medicine cat's den was getting crowed for me and them."she mewed softly


Redfern sat down and thought..."why why starclan....why did i have to like a medicine cat? When you knows its against the warrior code...." he spoke softly as soon as cloudstrike was gone.
