Veiled by a Song: PM to Join (Fox RP)

"So you're just passing through?" Soul asked, raising his eyebrows and hoping the fox would get to the point soon, he could tell his leash was getting antsy.

"Ok, I'll admit it I was lonely!" she said quickly.

[Calypso Sky]

"Which means what?" he sighed, tired of turning circles with this fox. "Look, there's a place for you here if you want to join, but it's going to take some time for you to start fitting in. If you're just passing through, then go right ahead and be sure to leave us alone"

She thought for a moment and knew it would be better to stay with them. "I'll join." she said finally.

Apollo let his fur lie flat, but still wasn't totally convinced. What if this was a trick? Still... the fox seemed harmless. Curiosity overcame his alarm as he pricked his ears forward to hear what the fox had to say.

[Calypso Sky]

"Then welcome," he said, bowing his head. "Please enter the camp and wait a moment while I address the leash about some very important matters. I'll talk to you when I'm done." He bounded up and stood on his stump, checking to make sure that everyone was listening.

Shira slowly walked into the camp and sat down.

Flare's nightmare teared at his mind and he jolted awake. "Yes." He said as he shakily stood up. "I will go back to the leash!" Lumbering out of the small cave with a confident grin he looked around. He wasn't the best hunter which was why he was so thin. Spotting a bird he crouched and approaced and then pounced. Either he was to slow or to loud the bird flew away. Trotting to the river he had a drink. Rolling in the grass Flare got up and continued his no longer useless journey.

Soul closed his eyes and took a deep breath as he looked down on the clearing. "Fellow foxes," he began, "I am so burdened to have to tell you that Creo and Flare have both left the leash. Creo's eyes flashed with Zargon's demons when he turned and left, and it pains me to say that this came to no surprise. The surprise was that Flare was so devoted to his brother, he was willing to ignore Kinari and the leash to join him on his perverted quest for evil. As most of you are realizing right now, that leaves us without a SIC warrior. After much thought, I've decided that the position deservedly goes to Ryuu." Soul nodded to his new SIC and then made eye contact with every single fox in the clearing, giving them time to absorb his words so that they would understand what he had to say next. "Because of this," he continued, "I'm going to take a group of warriors with me into the forest to track Creo down and kill him. He is a threat to every single one of you, and I can't have him poisoning and damaging the forest any more than it needs to be. I still have hope for young Flare, and we'll see what happens once we get there. Ryuu, Jupiter, Apollo, and myself will be going on this mission. The rest of you are to stay in camp no matter what. As usual, Shiko and Leaf Fall will be in charge. Shira," Soul said, looking at the new fox, "I'll talk to you when we get back." He jumped down from his den and sat down, giving the others time to talk to him if they needed to before they left.


"Nooooo!" Raven wailed, clearly in despair after the news. A sob racked through her body as she ran towards one of the camp entrances so that she could run into the forest. After remembering Soul's orders, she pivoted and ran into the den, her vision blurry from the tears that were welling up. She crashed down into a nest in the back and let the tears roll down her face, silently crying.
