Leaf-Fall has just came in full swing in
Riverclan, and the temperature rapidly
began to decline after sundown. Each cat
huddled closely one another in their den
to keep warm. However, two cats remained
awake still, each minding their own business.
One of these cats, Blazingsun, was doing a
final run around of the camp, making sure
no dens were missing anyone. After being
reassured that everything was right in
Riverclan, they settled down to eat a late
evening snack. The killer, who had been
pretending to sleep while Blazingsun made
their look through, stood up and stretched
their legs. It was finally time to take action.
Casually walking up to Blazingsun, the killer
tilted their head curiously. "Its quite late, and
you're just now eating?" they asked. Blazingsun
nodded, and finished the fish they were eating
before responding. "Yep, I wanted to make sure
everyone else was able to eat before I did."
The killer took a quick glance towards the food
pile, noticing that it had already begun to shrink
from a lack of prey. 'These cats are pathetic' the
killer thought. "That's fair.. It looks like the cold
has already quelled the amount of available food."
Blazingsun nodded in reply, standing up to go to
the warriors den. "We'll make it through though"
They said with a reassuring smile before beginning
to walk off.
"Wait!" The killer stood infront of Blazingsun,
blocking their way away. "I can't sleep, so I was
going to try and help out, as I heard that the
herb stores were getting low as well. Perhaps
if you come with me, we can help get both more
prey and more herbs." Blazingsun paused for a
moment, considering the cats words. They sighed,
then nodded. "I suppose that's fair, it's always
good to have two cats anyway."
With that, the two made their way out of the camp.
At this point, the moon was high up in the sky,
faintly lighting up the area around them. They
chatted quietly as they went, Blazingsun catching
some small prey animals to bring back, and the
killer carrying a large leaf with herbs inside of it.
They eventually made their way to the thunderpath,
and Blazingsun paused. "It looks like it's time to turn
back, I think we have a good amount now." The killer
shook their head, sniffing the air as they did. "No, we
can't turn back now, just across here is a big supply of
catmint." With that, the killer darted across the road.
"Wait stop!!" Blazingsun sprinted after the cat, not
bothering to look for a monster. After reaching the
other side, the killer turned to witness the carnage.
Two bright lights came full speed down the thunder-
path, and Blazingsun did not have time to react. The
cats body twisted and contorted under the wheel,
the back half being flattened into a pancake. They
looked towards the killer, expecting to see pity, fear,
horror, something.. But all they saw was the cold,
smug expression of the cat as Blazingsun quickly passed
out, and shortly after died from the impact.
Once the killer was certain that Blazingsun was gone,
they carefully and quickly made their way back across
the thunderpath. On the way back to camp, the killer
gathered a few more (deadly) herbs, but left the prey
that Blazingsun gathered behind. Once in camp, they
put most the herbs in the normal spot, but stuck the rest
in a deep corner of their den. Finally able to warm up,
the killer cozied up, and fell asleep, for real this time.
This may be the revival, but your first cat is long
gone. Can you find the killer before it is too late?
