Duskpelt nodded shakily, her eyes still on the pile of dirt that covered the shaking remain of the fox. She glanced up at Cindermist, gulping, "I'm-I'm good" she insisted shakily, before glancing around, "I must be tired, that's-that's probably why I'm seeing things...I don't think I'm able to hunt right now" she murmured, "can we just-go sit for a bit and look after the entrance? maybe in a little while after my nerves have died down, we can hunt again" she asked, glancing up with pleading eyes.

Cindermist looked back at her, his eyes full of understanding. "Of course." he nodded as he walked back with her to the camp entrance. The large dog dropped the small rabbit he had hunted at the prey pile before returning back to Duskpelt. Hesitantly, he asked in a soft voice, "Do you want to talk about it?" The beta knew there must be more to it than just seeing the remains of an animal.

Duskpelt thought for a moment, before shaking her head. She couldn't relive the sad memories, it was too..hectic for her to think about. "Not right now, it'll make everything worse..." she insisted quietly, glancing over at him, "L-Let's just get back to watching the entrance..there's still something off about the camp" she murmured through the dead silence of the sleeping camp, her eyes fearful.

The duo walked back over to camp, Cindermist remaining quiet. He wished that there was something he could do for his clearly bothered friend. He sat with he at the entrance for a moment before standing back up. "I'm gonna go check around camp real quick.", he spoke softly, he tail swishing as he walked off. As soon as he came in, he spotted Nightpaw and Daisypup. "Hey guys, what're you two still doing up?", the large dog grinned down at the younger ones.

The large dog looked up at the dark sky before nodding his head at the pair. "Yeah, you're right." He agreed, making eye contact with each of them, "How about this; I'll take both of you out to hunt first thing in the morning as long as you get permission from Emberstorm." The last part was directed to Nightpaw since he was Ember's apprentice. Plus, she may even want to go out with the younger dog to get some training in for him.
