Leopardstripe eventually stopped and turned around. He found Cloudgaze soon after. He might believe that Cloudgaze didn't love him, but that didn't mean she should freeze to death. He waited for her to say something. By now, the tears on his face had turned to ice.

Thrushleap bounded after the she-cat despite her fits of wheezing every minute or so. No, she'd get too cold out there.. she'd die! No, Thrushleap wouldn't let that happen~ not like Foxkit.[one of her kits in her first litter]

Cloudgaze ran directly into Leopardstripe, or more so bumped since she was walking at a fast trot instead of actually running. "Leopardstripe!" She exclaimed with surprise as she backed off a couple of steps so that she wasn't directly pressed up against him, "We have to go back it's too cold out here." The problems that had developed between the two could be resolved, or at least talked about, later on after they returned to the warm cabin.

Leopardstripe wore a cold look on his face, but murmured agreement and walked back to the cabin. Once there, he waited for Cloudgaze to speak, once again.

Thrushleap had gone in the completely opposite direction of Cloudgaze, as she had lost her in the snow. She was now wandering blindly, giving feeble calls that said, 'Cloudgaze, where are you?' and 'Are you okay?'

Cloudgaze walked in silence as they returned to the warmth and relative safety of the cabin, completely unaware that Thrushleap had gone off after her and was still out there somewhere. She didn't speak right away and it took her a couple of moments of silence to finally realize that he was expecting her to say something. "I..." She trailed off because she didn't really know what to say or how to start saying what she was thinking. Eventually she merely settled for meowing a soft, "I love you."

Leopardstripe looked down. "No you don't." His voice cracked. "You love Thrushleap." He added. "You'll just get stolen from me, just like Owlfeather." He whispered.
