Rootclaw lashed his tail furiously, not daring to get to his full size. "Not in the eyes of Star Clan!" He spat, claws sinking into the soft earth. "And it doesn't matter whether I'm deputy or a kit, you're still supposed to respect me!" He retorted, "You're supposed to respect me more than the deputy! Since I'm your mentor!!"

Thorntail took quick chase and caught the mouse in his jaws, turning his head to Russetleap and smiling.

"Well done!" She purred, brushing her long coat against his. She then tilted her head up to the sky, and then back down to Thorntail. "It's getting late," She noted, "We should start heading back to camp."

"I don't care if your my mentor! I only respect my deputy and leader!" Greypaw snaps. "The most you can do to me is make me clean the bedding from all of the dens and check the elders' for ticks!" He snarls. "Darkstar wouldn't exile a cat with such skill!" He growls, stepping and white paw forward, claws sliding out. His eyes turn to slits as rain starts to drip through the leaves.

Rootclaw hissed furiously at the young, obnoxious tom. "Oh I can do more than that and you know it!" He snapped, "You attacked Lionpaw, and if you attack me, that is reason enough to exile a cat! So watch your actions!" Suddenly, the anger fled from his eyes, and in their place stood pain, and disappointment. His voice was quiet as it rasped with hurt. He never expected such actions from his old den mate; something must've happened in the small period of time of him becoming a warrior. "I expected better from you..."

"Just wait 'til I become a warrior! I'll be deputy before you know it, then you'll have to respect me!" Greypaw growls low, his tail lashing with anger.

Rootclaw looked defeated, not by the young apprentice's words, but by the fact that he knew, that what ever he tried, he wouldn't be able to train this side out of him. "I'll never respect you," He mewed, starring down at his, his voice expressionless, "No one will. Not if you go about it this way."

{ There's a new Clan/Group that's come into the territory, known as 'The Blood Crusaders' (I believe)... Fireleaf and Stormtooth have just found then on the border, and are listening. No one else knows of them yet... Lionpaw and Greypaw fought, Brighteyes and Rootclaw found those two (and others) and brought them back to camp. Greypaw is arguing with Rootclaw, telling him that he'll be leader, and that Rootclaw is worthy of his respect and such... Brighteyes went back out to find Darkstar so that he could work out a punishment, aaaand I think that's about... it... o3o }
