Holliclaw looked away from pineclaw and back to her kits who were resting soundly.

Frostwing listened to all of this, nodding at Appleleaf's words. She had to admit, she was a bit shocked by this. "Well, I don't think there actually is a wrong way to take things. When you can't love someone, you can't love someone. You accept it, or you break the rules and try and love them. I do hope that you won't be doing that, though." She murmured, sitting down and curling her tail around her paws. She looked up at her friends, hoping that her advice would be alright.

"I mean, I don't know if I'm the best to go to for this. I'm shy, quite shy, as you know. I don't think I've ever had a crush on someone else, and I'm positive no one has had one on me. However, I advise that you don't let this affect you." Frostwing meowed softly, looking up at the clouds for a few moments, and then back at Appleleaf. "You've trained for hard, and you've come so far. You are the best Medicine Cat SunClan will ever have. Don't ruin yourself and everything you've done for love. Your Clan is your family, your Clan are your kits. You don't need one cat when you have the strength of the clan with you. You have more then a leader when it comes to StarClan. You have the stars in your paws, and it's a big responsibility. I wouldn't let a tom take that all away. In the end, it's your choice. Sprucepaw is only six moons though, and I know for a fact that if you were taken form your rank, Shiverwhisker wouldn't train two apprentices." She thought about this for a moment, and decided that was probably true.

"You're my friend though, so I'll support your choices. Just forgive Redfern and tell him that your path in life doesn't include his love. If he gets angry, ignore him. That's his fault, not yours."

Appleleaf listened to Frostwing's words. "Thanks Frostwing." She mewed, taking in Frostwing's advice. "Although, you can't help but wonder what having a family would be like." She smiled thinking of Hollyclaw and her kits. "But your right, my clan is my family, my kits. RainClan used to be, and SunClan is now. And Frostwing, I don't know why those toms aren't all over you." She added tryign to lighten the mood. "Remember we used to sit like this as aprenticies." She gazed at the clouds that were drifting lazily across the blue sky.

Frostwing nodded, flicking her long, feather-like tail. "Yes, sometimes I wonder. But I also know that right now, times are tough. I don't know what romance would do in this current situation, so I'm going to lie low for now." She meowed, cocking her head at Appleleaf, a grin forming on her face for a few moments. "I think I'd be horrified if toms just started climbing all over me." She meowed with a chuckle, her amusement dying down as Appleleaf brought back the memories of them being apprentices.

"Yeah, I remember it all the time. I was a shadow to you, in a way. My mentor wasn't very open to that. I miss those moments, all the time." She meowed softly, watching the clouds for a bit, wondering what shape they seemed to match, and the colors they held. "But, everything happens for a reason. We must learn to move on, and accept the future instead of the past. I'm sure we can create many new good memories." She said, hoping she was right.

My mentor was responsible for the drastic injuries, I could play when ever I wanted if I wasn't helping and I didn't have to worry about these things." She smiled at her friend. "That would be a bit funny." She snorted with amusement. "Honestly, I don't know where romance would play a role in this situation." Appleleaf found her thoughts drifting, imagining her and Frostwing clambering through the roots of the forest's ancient trees.

Mintsplash bounds back up to Stonekit. "Do you want to visit the medicine cat's den?" she asks happily.

Frostwing nodded in agreement to her friend's words. "That's a good thing to say, since I don't know where it would fit in either. Romance is a silly thing. It has pieced together hearts and broken others. You take a big risk when wanting to give your heart to someone else, and sometimes you need to take it. Other times it's best to stay in the shadows, playing it safe." She meowed, looking over at Appleleaf. Sometimes she wondered what things would be like if they were switched. If Frostwing was the Medicine Cat, and Appleleaf was the warrior. Would things be harder or easier? What about if Appleleaf was also just a warrior? Lots of possibilities.

"I wonder if you'd been the medicine cat, and I had been a warrior. I know you always wanted to be the medicine cat." Appleleaf looks at the thoughtful look in Frostwing's eyes.

Redfern soon found cloudstrike "hey cloudstrike, frostwing wanted me to tell you that she is going on the rest of the patrol with appleleaf."he mewed

Holliclaw scooted over to pineclaw with her kits "hello pineclaw, you feeling any better?" She asked with a caring voice.

Mintsplash gently flicks her tail on Stonekit's ear. "You sneaky little tom!" she chirps with laughter in her tone. Stonekit seemed like he would make a great warrior. He was confident, curious, and quite daring when it came to adventures. "Stonekit's qualities will let him discover so much as an apprentice and a warrior", Mintsplash quietly told herself.
