Bloodwhisper struggled to stand up. He winced and managed to sit down. Sighing, he closed his eyes and thought, 'This is my fault.. if I hadn't been such a terrible mentor, Nightpaw would be okay.. she deserves better..

Nightpaw woke up. She got to her feet her blue eyes dull. She padded to him. "I'm sorry for being such a horrible apprentice I understand why you want a new one..." She turned padding back to her den.

Bloodwhisper held out his tail, stopping her, "I don't want a new apprentice. I've been ignoring you the day you became my apprentice. I acknowledge how brave and fearless you are. I know one day you'll become a powerful warrior but with me you won't get anywhere.." He dropped his tail.

She looked at her paws. "Ever since I was a kit I wanted to be just like you..." She sighed. "I will go ask for a new mentor if you want..."

Bloodwhisper didn't say anything. He just closed his eyes and sat there silently, wings drooped.

She nodded In understanding. "Thanks for being my mentor while you were..." She walked off her tail and head low to find the deputy or leader.

Bloodwhisper fell onto his side and he let out a small huff. He closed his eyes and spread his wings over himself, escaping from the gaze of his fellow clan mates.

She changed course to her den and layed down choking back a sob. She layed there whimpering. ~I'm so stupid... I don't deserve to be a warrior...~

Bloodwhisper curled tighter and soon enough fell asleep, letting his wings fall from their hanging position.
