Murderers in Riverclan V.2 [Roster Update 10/30]

The air was heavy and thick with anticipation.
Sneezecloud looked over at his brother,
and then at Galecloud.
'Sneezecloud...' Galecloud said, in a shaky
voice.
He nodded softly. 'I know. It's okay. I know.'
The tom got to his paws and rested his tail
on Beavertail's shoulder. 'Look after her.'
He missed the gleam in his brothers eyes.
Sneezecloud left, tail swishing sadly.

'Beavertail?' This was the loudest Galecloud
had been in a few moons. The queen was
leaning against the wall of the nursery, eyes
dull and fur matted.
'What is it?' he asked, walking over.
'Why did you do it?'
'Do what?'
'Why did you kill my mate? Why did you kill...'
she cut herself off, choking on the words.
She turned to Beavertail, eyes gleaming madly.
'Why did you kill my kits?'
The warrior backed away nervously.
'It was an accident!' he wailed. 'I... I didn't
mean to! Not until...' Maybe that wasn't
the right thing to say.
'I j-just... I didn't mean to, but then...
StarClan turned their backs on me!
I angered them with Finchpelt's death
but then I just couldn't stop having
accidents happen! And Finchpelt...
He didn't help when my tail was flattened
by that tree?' Everything was coming out
now.
Galecloud's ears drooped. She saw Finchpelt
standing near Beavertail, shaking his head.
'Galecloud.' she could still remember his
voice. 'Leave him. We'll always stay with
you.'
No matter how mad she was, she couldn't
kill Beavertail. No matter how far gone
she was, she couldn't do that. It would
dishonor her children and mate.
Beavertail gasped for breath, looking
terrified. The walls were closing in
on him. He couldn't stay behind here.
The tom turned and fled.

Galecloud died two days later. She
did not eat a thing until she starved
to death, believing she'd been talking
to her kits and Finchpelt.

Any cats who remained from RiverClan
were slowly picked off one by one
by "accidents". A dark brown tom was
seen around the scene every time.

Rude and disrespectful, this young tom is often found lazing about in a patch of sunshine, shirking his duties. He has a sense of entitlement to him and considers apprentice duties like caring for the elders beneath him. Despite his laziness, Dustpaw certainly has potential. He just needs a strict mentor who'll make sure he does what he's supposed to and doesn't let him do anything other than his best.
