Blitzpaw lifted her head, waiting for Gingerpaw to reply.

"I just want to make sure everyone is alright" Gingerpaw locked the top of Blitzpaw's head and looked at her with loving eyes.

[Cradily]

"I'll gladly take full responsibility for your death," Beechpaw replied sweetly as she leapt over a fallen branch. "Come on, don't be a killjoy! Just think of a hundred moons from now when you're an old, grumpy elder. You'll get to tell your grand-kits the story of how you survived a hurricane! A real, actual hurricane! They'll be amazed! They'll say, 'Wow, Grandpa Herring...face,' or whatever your name will be a hundred moons from now, 'you're so brave! I wanna be just like you when I grow up!' Don't you want to be remembered as the brave, daring tom that you are for generations to come?" She was, of course, just exaggerating and joking around by this point, but having way too much fun doing so.

Herringpaw chuckled. "Oh StarClan, Beechpaw, what are you getting me into?" He smiled, dodging a fallen branch.

[Cradily]

"Nothing but fun!" Just as those words left her mouth, a rabbit shot by, and Beechpaw shot after it. She eventually managed to speed ahead of it and scare it in the opposite direction, but wasn't able to go in for the kill. "Get it, get it!" she commanded Herringpaw.

Herringpaw dove at it, sinking in his teeth. He straightened himself up, the limp body of the rabbit hung from is jaws. "Happy?" He asked, tossing the catch to Beechpaw.

[Cradily]

"Yeah, good job." She caught it in her mouth, dug a hole at the base of a tree, and buried it there. "We'll come back for that later. Let's go!" She ran off once again.

"Hmm." Ripplestripe sat silently for a minute, but at last, he stood up and headed for the camp entrance, waving his tail to beckon Mapleshadow. "Come on, then."

Mapleshadow stared at Ripplestripe for a moment, torn between staying and saving her clanmates. She finally nodded and followed the tom out of camp. "Stay alert. Starclan knows what this storm could be capable of." She half shouted to Ripplestripe, trying to be louder than the wind.

When they were finally able to get to the beach, Cornfur looked around frantically for Saltpaw. Mist and sand blew into him, but he tried to keep his eyes open. "Saltpaw!" He called out, scanning the edge of the water for his apprentice.

Herringpaw nodded and didn't have much of an choice but to follow her. "Do you even know where you're going?" He screeched over the howling wind.

Salmonfall caught sight of Saltpaw farther along the coastline. She took began to race towards her, her golden fur buffeted from the strong winds. A large wave came over her, leaving her there with a mouthful of salt water and a cold, soaked, pelt. The she-cat was even colder now that she was wet. Salmonfall got to Saltpaw and nudged her. "C'mon."

[Cradily]

Ripplestripe acknowledged her words with another wave of his tail as he set off into the woods. He swiveled his ears and parted his jaws to scent the air in an attempt to locate his lost Clanmates.

"No," Beechpaw responded. "But that's what makes it exciting! What kind of adventure would this be if we know where we were going?"

Herringpaw murmured something under his breath.
