"I really am sorry Redfern." She looked up sadly at him. "It's just no one's ever liked
me. before. I always just the medicine cat. Nothing more nothing less. I'm simply the one to heal the wounds and keep the clan connected with StarClan. I don't get how this whole... love thing works. I didn't mean to hurt you like that." She appologized, looking down at the ground.

"It will matter Redfern. Your the only one who's ever liked me. Maybe it just wasn't meant to be. You'll find someone, just not me. You'll fall in and out of love a few times before you find that special cat Redfern." Appleleaf sighed almost dreamily. She couldn't help but find that Raccoonstrike was on her mind thinking about this stuff.
You can't. Your a medicine cat. She shook her head as if to clear those thoughts. "I know your a great cat Redfern." She licked his shoulder affectionatly.

{ warrior } Ears pricked, Frostwing stopped and could swear she heard a couple of cats yelling. Probably fighting with each other. However, she didn't want to go and interfere. What if the cats were in the middle of eating one another or something? Frostwing didn't want to be eaten by another cat, so she decided to continue hunting. Her sides hurt from moving around and using up lots of energy, and after traveling for a bit, she was low on energy. Sniffing the air, she caught the scent of another mouse. She could do with catching another one of those.
Keeping herself low to the ground, Frostwing crept after the scent, and soon saw the furry animal in the distance. Her eyes glittered with content as she noticed the animal, it was totally oblivious to her, and she'd catch it for sure. However, Frostwing was also oblivious to the twig on the ground. Setting her paw on it caused the twig to snap in half, causing a slight noise. That was all it took for the mouse to dart off. Frostwing hissed and chased after it, swiping out with her paws, hoping to catch it. However, she was too slow and it darted into a small hole. "Mousedung.." She muttered, turning back and heading to where the sparrow and the other mouse was. She slowed her pace, since that run had caused her to loose her breath.♦ s p i d e r p a w ♦
{ medicine cat apprentice } Spiderpaw looked up at his mentor, listening to the herbs he had listed. After a few moments of thought, he was ready to answer. "Chickweed does what catmint does. It cures greencough, but catmint is better. Coltsfoot eases breathing, and also helps with kitten cough. I'm pretty sure thyme helps cats who are nervous or are in shock. Tansy eases pain in the joints.. And um..I think it's used in traveling herbs too, right?" He replied, tilting his head as he tried to remember if tansy was a traveling herb or not.

{I've started putting together the Setting/Recent Events section on the front page. It's in the second post. ^^ I have setting done; just trying to decide what to put for recent events. If anyone has any ideas, please PM me. ^^}
Eaglestar paced the camp, keeping an eye on things. The urge to go out alone was gone, after the eagle attack. It had scared her, though she hid it well. She was old enough, now, to admit that to herself. As a young warrior, she'd tried so hard to be fearless. As many young warriors have done, and will do in the future, she was sure. But it was impossible, she'd realized. Nobody was fearless. All you could do was try not to lose your head when you are afraid.
Pineclaw rested, a little ways out from the camp, in the shade of one of the rare trees. His dark brown coat blended in with the tree's twisted roots. He closed his eyes. With his paws on the rough bark of the roots, he could almost pretend he was back home. With his clan--a full, healthy clan, not the burned survivors that were left. A proud, strong clan, led by the most wonderful cat he had ever met. Foxstar. She hadn't been traditionally beautiful; her eyes round and too large for her small face, her cheekbones sharp and angular, her nose long and her frame skinny and scarred. But he'd grown to see the beauty in her. Her fur was the deepest red he'd ever seen, subtly striped. It shone in the sunlight. Her eyes were golden, and so expressive. She could make her voice flat and cold, her face expressionless, her fur flat. But her eyes--they always told the truth. He'd seen them, full of fury and fire--no fear, never fear--as she stared down an enemy twice her size. He'd also seen them soft and warm, as she'd watched her clan's kits play in the clearing. And the way she'd looked at him... Pineclaw barely noticed the tears darkening the fur of his cheeks. He hadn't even been able to be with her when she... He unsheathed his claws, digging them into the bark. He'd gone over that terrible day in his head far too many times. He wished he could just remember her the way she used to be; now, every memory was tainted by the terrible knowledge that she was gone.Crystalline~ wrote:Raven smiled again and said "My name is not what you need to know, but if you insist," he paused. With his mocking dramatic tone,"My name is Raven and what I am doing here is as you hopefully can see, is walking and that, my dear, shouldn't be in your great interests. He drawled, eyes dancing with amusement.

Lightpaw opened her mouth, then closed it, once again lost for words. He's weird, she thought to herself, tilting her head slightly. "Well, I suppose I won't stop you," she said, careful to use 'won't' rather than 'can't'. Normally, she'd have to challenge any rogues on her territory. But this wasn't hers, wasn't her clan's. They were just passing through. There were bound to be more cats out here; no point in picking fights everywhere they went, she reasoned. "Just don't go walking too close to my clan's camp." she added, feeling the need to do something to protect the others. Not that a single cat was any real threat. She could probably take him in a fight herself. He was bigger than her, but she'd been training to use her small size to her advantage.
