River stood with her mouth open, swaying with the slight wind. "I- but.." she stammered, backing up more. A tear fell from her eye, "You don't even care about your own cubs? Well fine than!" She pouted, clawing at the ground. "I'll get her! I don't want to see you ever again!" She turned, running away to the river. Her musky black shape made her stand out in the small opening as she splashed into the water.

River ignored her mother's words as she ran, and swam in the water. She touched the bottem with a claw, pushing herself around. "What am i going to do?" She thought outloud.

"Dog!" Oceanbreeze shrieked as her and Stormcloud swam across the river. Her eyes were full of fire as she hissed, fluffing her pelt to enlarge her size.

"Fine then, you mutt.." Twilight growled and walked away.
Blaze looked at Shimmerkit again. "It's fine, even if the kit.. pup.. thing wanted yo hurt you it can not." He said, nuzzling his kit.

Shimmerkit looked up at the pup, moving away from her father. "Wh- what will Mountainstar say?" She stuttered in fright still.

"It's up to her, but I couldn't leave a cub.. pup.. kit.. thing.. to die. Please do not hate me." Blaze said calmly.

Shimmerkit shook her head, hiding back into a ball shape. "What if the other one comes back?" She murmered under fur.

"I can not kill it without Mountainstar's permission, and also I will protect you and the others. I promise.." Blaze sighed.
