Thunderstorm looked to Ottersplash as he saw his sister climb up the rock, the very sight he hated.

Solsticetalon growled and sat under the rock.

Silentwhisper suddenly sprang forward to grasp the squirrel in his jaws.

Twitching an ear, Sparrowcatcher turned his head to watch the Clan leader clamber up the rock. Clearly, this was about the deputy choice. He had no interest in being deputy but he knew someone who might. His green eyes shifted towards Thunderstorm slyly, but then glanced back. Would Volantstar really choose this ambitious tom? He hoped not.

"Great catch!" Applestep exclaimed. Her large ears twitched; something was going in back at camp. "I think Volantstar just called a meeting," She mewed to the tom.

Volantstar watched as the cats gathered, she then called for silence and began speaking. Feeling the warm sunset on her back as she began to speak. "I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Sunclan is Bristlepelt." She mewed out to her clanmates, looking down at her son proudly.

"Thanks and she did?" Silentwhisper replied.

Thunderstorm looked up at her in shock and fury. "W...what?!" He snarled.

Sparrowcatcher felt instant warmth heat his stomach at the choice. The tabby flicked his ears at Thunderstorm's comment but ignored it and instead raised his chin and chanted Bristlepelt's name, voicing his agreement with the choice.

"I think so. Come on!" Applestep exclaimed, and got to her paws. Without awaiting the tom she sprang away nimbly, back to the camp.

Silentwhisper grabbed the squirrel and followed nodding.

Thunderstorm snarled and padded up the rock to whisper to his sister. "Are you out of your mind?!"

Volantstar glared at her brother, seeing his disrespect for her and the clan as he padded up the rock to her, she looked at him calmly though, her appearance changing almost instantly. "I know what I'm doing, I've made the right decision."

"No, if you think I'm going to be ordered around by that disrespectful runt you are wrong. Change this now. This clan was ruined the day your sorry pelt became leader." Thunderstorm growled.

"Thunderstorm, stop, please, he's Deputy now, Im not changing it. He's the right choice." She said to him calmly, her amber eyes were unwaivering. "Step down from the rock, you're not supposed to be up here, Thunderstorm if you keep this up I'll have to exile you, you're causing nothing but trouble."

Bearclaw felt a slight nudge as she heard the order, her heart racing as she coughed more blood but still stood up and dragged herself to the high rock, still blinded. She finally found her way to it, guided by the scents in the air. She hid in a shadow, her now almost white eyes desperately trying to catch a glimpse of light. Her pelt was covered with blood, still soaking wet and a small stream of blood was making it's way out of her mouth. She covered her mouth with her paw, trying to stop it and not catch anyones atention.
