He smiled at Eaglepaw interrupting a conversation seemed like something he'd do.

Her heartrate quickened as his forehead met hers, and she looked into his fearful eyes. "No" she finally said, clearing her throat and sitting up to pull herself away from him, her eyes now shelled and determined. "That dream haunts me...because with every chew, the dog grew skinnier, and its bones poked out of its coat...until it just--died" she murmured quietly, shaking her head.

But luckily, her thoughts were interrupted by her apprentice, and she exhaled. "You didn't inturrupt anything Eaglepaw...but no, we can't hunt today because we have to keep guard of the camp while Willowstep and Badgerstrike head to the moonpool. We should keep are guard up during the night.." she said firmly, her eyes switching over to cindermist, her words indicating the dream she had.

She felt if she left the camp something bad would happen to the pack. And she didn't want that.

"Cindermist and I were just having a meal, if you'd like some, please, go ahead" she finally said, a friendlier manner to her tone as she looked back at her apprentice. Her eyes then turned to the meat, inspecting it briefly before establishing it was healthy and her mind just made her..think other of that.

Willowstep nodded, smiling, "good choices of the omegas indeed, I think we should leave soon though, something tells me the weather may or may not dampen during the night, so we should get there as fast as we can before it begins to pour" she suggested, smiling over at badgerstrike. "And on the way back, perhaps our two omegas here could hunt for the pack? It would do us justice, the prey stock is running a bit...low" she observed, before straightening up, ready to head out.

Badgerstrike nodded in agreement and smiled at Lillysnap. “This way I can make sure you don’t get into any trouble. Plus you’ll be a great help in catching prey.” He said with a soft chuckle before heading to the entrance of camp. “Let’s head out then. It’s a few days there and a few days back, right? We should hurry. There’s a river between us and that side of the river, right Willowstep? Will we have to go over the thunderpath to set across?” He asked since they had omegas with them and he was unsure of Willowstep’s ability to swim.

Willowstep frowned, "I think that you should know, I'm not a strong swimmer. Way back when, when I was in the police canine forces, on one of my duties I was hit in the shoulder by a piece of-metal. The humans called it a 'gunshot', and it's prevented my capability to sprint and swim. But i'll do my best" she told him, not in the slightest embarrassed about her past. She didn't mind sharing her history, in fact, she was quite proud of all the help she granted to humans and other animals, she felt like a hero in a sense.

Duskpelt got up, moving to lie next to cindermist, their sides pressing as she seemed desperate for comfort as her eyes wandered off. Her thoughts seemed to be a spur of the so called 'disease' and her nightmare. She frowned, lowering her muzzle on her front paws, watching her apprentice eat intently, making sure he was okay. She didn't know why, but she found herself cautious of many more things now. She could hear her heart thumping in her ears, leaning a bit more into cindermist for comfort as she sighed shakily in the eerie silence.

Badgerstrike nodded and gave her a gentle look. “Don’t worry about it Willowstep, while on patrol I’ve seen a way over the river. It’ll be dangerous and it’s close to SkyPacks territory, but it’s the safest way across the river. It’ll make the journey take longer but it is the best option for us. After that you’ll need to lead, since I’ve never been to Moonpool.” He said, giving her a reassuring smile.

Eaglepaw plopped down, and snatched up a rabbit. He tore into it, enjoying the flavor. Ah, the joy of having rabbit, he thought happily. It wasn't long before the chocolate lab's hunger was quite satisfied, though, and he jumped up, placing the rest of the rabbit back onto the pile. "Thanks, Duskpelt! Yeah, don't worry, I won't leave camp. I think I might listen to Rosetail tell stories, or maybe visit Fallensnow's pups." He wagged his tail at the thought of the new pups. What were their names? Oh, I'll just ask Fallensnow later.

Cindermist took small bites of his rabbit, his appetite seeming to have vanished. He glanced at the frightened dog that laid next to him and pressed a bit more against her. The beta was also in need of comfort due to the paranoid thoughts that plagued his mind. He now could understand why the dream had caused the female to eat less and become a bit more cautious. Not wanting to worry Eaglepaw or Duskpelt, Cindermist smiled at the apprentice, "Now that you mention them, I don't think I've even seen Fallensow with her pups yet. How're they doing?"
