"Just a little more." she thought, wiggling her hips in preparation of her pounce. mothpaw could almost taste the delicious mouse and was about ready to do so when a loud shriek from a blackbird above scared her. only it wasn't a blackbird...



frightened, the pretty female sat upright in her nest of moss and feathers. not sure what was happening, she clambered to her paws and followed another apprentice out of the den. the loud screams of pain came from the queens' den and without wasting anytime, mothpaw hurried towards where a few others were gathered. "Kits!" she realized with happiness, an excited smile forming on her face. not knowing what to do, the tabby apprentice turned to Nettlepool. "Uh... Can I help in anyway?"

His eyes began to stretch wide as two moons. "Oh." He meowed, looking down at his paws and shuffling them awkwardly. "I-I.." Rookpaw stammered, but couldn't finish his sentence.

"Oh my starclan!" She yapped "Did i say to much? Oh i didn't mean It!" She Closed her eyes and cried "Oh starclan, I am not good enough for a mate?" She whispered hoping that goldeneye can hear She want him to run his paw over her to wipe the tears from her eyes but she was blinded by embarrassment.

"I-it's not like that!" He quickly tried to reassure her. "I just don't really know you enough yet!" Rookpaw rushed over to her and hung his tail over her shoulders. "I'm just not ready to make a huge desicions while I'm an apprentice." Rookpaw whispered, still shocked by the news. "You're a really nice and pretty cat Rosepaw, I just think you deserve better than me." He admitted, looking away."Maybe we can just be friends for now. Then I will find out if that's what I want."

"Oh okay" She turned away and went into the apprentice's den She fixed up her nest went out and grabbed some fresh-kill, A plump thrush, And went back into the apprentice's den laid down and ate the thrush and got comfy in the bed after she ate and rested. She wanted to see goldeneye but didn't know what'd she see

I hope I wasn't too hard on her,The tom thought, dismay creeping over him. I just want to be friends, I wasn't expecting that yet. But I guess I'll see what the future holds.

Rockkit padded up to the fresh kill pile trying to pick out something to eat,everything looked good but she settled on a mouse.She picked it up and settled off to the side to eat it.

Stonekit was checking out the entrance to the camp.He was starting to get look forward to becoming an apprentice,because for once he was not wanting to be stuck in camp.He was starting to want to explore beyond the camp entrance since he barley even remembered what it looked like.He sat off to the side and laid down trying to remember what the walk to the clan looked like when he and his sister joined when they were smaller, but nothing really came to him so he continued to lay where he was.

Nettlepool shot a glance back at his apprentice. 'Bravepaw, be quick.' He warned. He picked up the herbs and ushered Silverblaze into a nest. 'All you can do now, Mothpaw, is wait I'm afraid.'

Blueflower exited the nursery and sat next to Mothpaw. 'Don't worry, Mothpaw.'

The tom woke up and saw his sister already bouncing around the den. She was excited to take her first apprentice out for their first training. I will get my apprentice and take her out soon. He looked to see Firefoot tiredly patrol the camp, you can see in his eyes he was determined to be a great deputy. "Hey, Firefoot? Can I and Spottedeye take our apprentices out soon?" He asked the deputy. Firefoot nodded and went back to his duties.
