➳Trying to give her leader her full attention, Hailpaw was focused solely on Scorchstar. Though she couldn't help but waver her icy gaze as the larger, brown tabby, Waspclaw, joined them. Speaking towards the growing cluster of felines, the apprentice couldn't help but nod along with his words. He's right, this outsider could've been out in the wastelands for quite sometime. Just stealing our prey whenever he felt like it. Her pelt started to subconsciously stand on end as her anger level rose at the horrible thoughts. Just kick him out already Scorchstar! She had always been impatient, but this time was extra worse.

Out of nowhere, Mossleap runs over to join them. Unfortunately she began treating Hailpaw like an incompetent kit who had escaped camp and caused trouble. The sudden thought of convincing her sister, Heatherkit, to run away with her haunted her mind. Squeezing her eyes shut tight and giving her head and few good shakes back and forth, the molly wanted to rid herself of the horrible thought. She could still hear her own mother calling her a murderer. "I'm fine." She hissed, as her mentor began to inspect her. "This wasn't my fault." The tortie's protests would probably be useless, but she had to try; there was no way she was getting in trouble because of the rogue.

I sigh with relief. "Of course it's not your fault." I turn to the rouge. "It's the fox-hearted prey stealers." I meow glaring at the cat. I step back next to Scorchstar, awaiting his decision.

The she-cat was easily distracted by Hawkcry's voice. She took one small last bite from
the prey before her before standing and flicking her tail. "I'm gonna see what's going on
over there." She mewled quietly, padding over the to group where Hawkcry stood. A tiny
white tom. Old. His eyes were piercing, and Hailpaw. They're all matted with blood... I
hope they're all okay. Her attention quickly diverted to Hawkcry, as she began to listed to
her leader converse with the band of cats.

Sunpaw didn't take her seriously. "Because, I am the only cat left to be friends with." He padded to a nearby puddle and lapped up some of it.

"I've had a young twoleg kit try to grab me before, and an adult chase me away when I was in their backyard for some catmint." Softberry flicked an ear in irritation at those memories. The only kind of anger she had in this conversation was reminiscing. "Other than that, no. They don't come into the desert where we live because it's so hot and their furless pelts burn so easily in the sun."
