Yowls and scrambles down the tree. I heave Ivypaw onto my back and carry her to camp, and we lay bloodstained in the clearing.

My eyes were wide with shock. "I-it was that f-fox that got me e-ear-earlier," I stutter. "Her eye!" I yowl, horrified. "I saved her..." I look at Ivypaw, who was still blacked out. I flick my tail towards her. "Who was she?" I ask, more calm now.
