"Huh?"
Rive was so focused on digging that had nearly forgotten Needlefang was even there. It took a moment to register what the medicine dog had said, and as soon as Rive did, she was hit with a wave of hunger and exhaustion. She had apparently forgotten more than Needlefang's presence.
"Oh, good idea. I'm starving!"
Rive backed out of the hole, hesitating only a moment to proudly admire the progress she and Needlefang had made before she shook the majority of the dirt from her fur and hurried after the fellow Chihuahua. Dirt still clung to the moisture of her little, black nose, and her thick, unkempt pelt did not do her any favors either. She was a bit messy, but that was alright. Grooming could wait until the messy task was finished. There was no point in getting clean only to get dirty again right away.
She was a second or so behind Needlefang, but they arrived at the prey pile at nearly the same time. Thus, it was easy to pick up on Needlefang's observation on the state of ShadowPack at the moment.
"Hm... Looks like it. A lot did happen yesterday, after all, and I'm sure I don't know the half of it yet."

“That’s horrible. I kill my prey quick so they don’t suffer a long painful death. No offense but Hawk seems like the kind of dog to torture prey for fun.” Snowstorm said, her voice low with surprise. Was there ever a time Hawk didn’t torture his prey? To her it was starting to seem less likely he would even be accepted in the pack. She could picture apprentices wanting to train their fighting skills only to get severely injured by Hawk. She didn’t wish for that.

“I’m sure your parents and siblings wouldn’t want Hawk to keep up being so cold and would want him to have a better attitude. I can only imagine what they would have to say if they were still around. This isn’t how he should act after losing his parents. I mean sure you can have time to grieve but to become a mouthy dog, that’s a good way to not even have a single dog respect you. Wow. You must have had a rough time once you were reunited.” Snowstorm said.

Dawnpaw nodded, and smiled slightly and Applefrost's observation. "Yeah, we rarely gather it because of that. Needlefang jokes that her mentor was the last dog to gather chamomile, and that it'll be my apprentice's apprentice that gathers it next." She chuckled slightly, smiling. It was peaceful, being in the forest, walking, and just having some company. It was, to be honest, a relief from the hustle and bustle of the ever-growing camp.

“If he joined the Dark Forest wouldn’t you know for sure? I don’t think asking him about it would be a good idea. He does act like the type of dog that might join but I’m not sure what to think.” Snowstorm said as her voice remained low so only Spotted heard. She didn’t want anyone overhearing them. “If there was an uprising we would be in trouble. That doesn’t mean I wouldn’t fight.” She added.
