Badgerstrike tensed and frowned with slightly widened eyes as he was called out. Looking down and clearing his throat, he brushed off the comment. He knew their interactions would come off as him either patronizing her or him being weird, but he couldn’t control that. If anyone tried to do or say anything to Lillysnap he knew he’d protect her though. He felt a bit daft for the way he’d acted before when Cindermist was trying to be nice to her and for the first time realized what he’d been feeling since finding the brave little omega outside of camp. Shaking his head quickly, he regained his senses and looked at Mouseheart. “I can’t promise you that everyone will treat you differently right away, but if anything happens you can tell me. The type of Alpha I want to be is one that listens and takes into consideration the thoughts of all of his pack.” He said before finishing his meal and standing.

Duskpelt smiled, seemingly liking the idea of sharing a meal. She wasn't one to sit down and actually converse with other pack members, but something about his friendliness made her want to, so she couldn't help herself.

she nodded, "alright then, thank you" she murmured happily, leading the way to the preys stock, but frowning as she saw there were a few meals left over of prey. "oh...goodness, well, we've seem to be running short on prey-and the pack will surly be hungry at sunrise." she observed, "Perhaps when Willowstep and Badgerstrike return from their journey, we could go hunt early morning for the pack?" she suggested, before picking up a large rabbit.

The little terrier noticed her soon-to-be-alpha speaking with her fellow omega, Mouseheart. It seemed changes were already being made to the pack! Moosestar barely acknowledged she and Mouseheart. Badgerstrike would be a welcome improvement. With a wagging tail, she made her way over to the two dogs. Even though Lillysnap and Mousheart shared a rank, she didn't know the other omega well. He was standoffish and her rambunctious nature seemed to annoy him more than anything. "Hi Mouseheart," she barked, hoping she wasn't interrupting anything deeply important. "Are you about to leave?" she asked, looking up at Badgerstrike. Her eyes glowed with pup-like excitement for her friend. He would make a fantastic leader. The next time she'd see him, he would be "Badgerstar." Her tongue lolled at the exciting thought.

“I’m going to go tell Fallensnow the news.” Daisypup told her friend. Not wanting to visit her adoptive mother with no prey, the pup went to get a rabbit from the fresh kill pile. She then walked quietly into the nursery. Spotting Fallensnow she dropped the rabbit. “It’s for you. I thought you might be hungry. Badgerstrike is going to be our new leader. And Cindermist is going to be our medicine dog. The pack will be okay now.” She explained. “What’s a moonpool?” She asked curious as she had never heard of it before.

He lifted his shoulder "sure" he responded a little bit relieved that Willoestep didn't ask him to join them to the moonpool as he was afraid that he could ruin the Badgerstrikes chances to get his nine lives. As he was not sure if the male dog had something to do with the Moosestar's death or maybe he was just thinking way too much.

She looked over at Daisypup "well so I've heard" she said to her with a smile, then standing up "let's get out to eat, the weather is so warm that the pups will survive for a while without me by their side" she said moving out of the nursery sitting down near it "Moonpool? Well, it's the place where you can talk with Starpack...in this case, Badgedstrike will go there to have his nine lives to become a full leader of this pack and Cindermist...wait what? you mean she will become a beta, not a medicine dog right?" she said.

“Right I meant to say Beta.” Daisypup looked at her paws embarrassed. She was still sort of new and in her excitement had gotten confused. But at least the pack would be okay now.

The canine nodded, thankful, "your help is truly appreciated, thank you" she said, a relief to her tone as she politely dismissed herself from his presence, turning around. She headed over to where badgerstrike and mouseheart sat, smiling contently as she neared, her pads silent against the cold earth. "We're good to leave at anytime, the sun has already set, so it's your call" she informed, her voice soft and not rushed. She was rather calm in the situation.

Duskpelt smiled, glad he'd agreed with her as she was relieved he found her suggestion useful. She nodded, trotting over to him, her stance more relaxed as she let her fur lie flat. She settled herself across from him, her paws nearly touching his as she set down the rabbit she'd taken. "I bet you'll serve this pack a good future, and you'll serve badgerstrike and all of use a good beta" she promised lightly, before biting into her meal in hunger. She hadn't been eating much for some reason, she felt the pack just needed the extra prey for the pups, and she felt selfish for devouring her own share, her ribs were practically poking through her thin coat.
