Meadowbreeze watched Skypool and Jackdawstar before falling back asleep.

Tidepaw's face stung but she continued. She started making a quick zig zagging pattern, going left then right.

[Cradily]

When Tidepaw proved too fast to keep up with, Lizardtail dropped back into a crouch-like position and closed his eyes. The tom's ears swiveled from left to right.

Tidepaw smirked and rolled in mud, so her scent would be hidden. She struck him on one side, then the opposite one. She kept it until she had struck all four directions, hoping to confuse him. She sat out of range behind him.

Lizardtail sat there in silence, ignoring the pain that stung each area in which Tidepaw struck. When he finally did open his eyes several moments later, he turned around to see his apprentice and stared at her with an unreadable facial expression. "Clever technique," he remarked thoughtfully. Then, without warning, he dashed straight forward and barreled into her.

Tidepaw fell over, surprised. She quickly had herself on her paws again before he could pin her. Tidepaw felt an ache from where he had barreled into her but ignored it.

[Cradily]

Lizardtail circled her patiently. "Make your move," he commanded in a calm tone.

[totems]

Tidepaw nodded and began circling Lizardtail. She started picking up sped until she was a blur. The lithe she-cat began to land a trail of blows on him every time she sped by.

[Cradily]

Lizardtail didn't try to dodge, nor did he try to hide the pained expressions on his face. He lashed out several times to strike her right back.

[totems]

Tidepaw flinched when a couple hit her but was able to block some. She tried to ignore the pain.

[Cradily]

Lizardtail curled up into a tight ball.
