Swiftstar smiled at the two new warriors. "You two will need to sit vigil tonight, which means you will guard camp and not speak." she said before calling the clan meeting to an end and heading over to Skybounce. She giggled. "Ready?"

Fadedecho nodded, smiling. He could sort of make out shadows and shapes. "Will I become another medicine cat apprentice with you Beetlepaw?" he asked with hope this time.

Skybounce chuckled, "of course!" He purred as he stood up beside Swiftstar and padded out of the camp.

owlfeather noticed she looked slightly uneasy. time to use his back up plan. "o-oh-h, i just meant whether you were born in stormclan or born outside the clans?" he asked her quietly, looking at the tree tops rather than contact with her eyes.

owlfeather looked at splashleaf and blazefeather. "well, goodluck to us," he purred quietly, watching as his clan mates disappeared, one by one into their assigned dens as night took a toll upon the sky swiftly. he knew he could make it through the vigil, he had completely this task on many occasions in the apprentice den and nursery. 'this is it. you've done it. you earned it.' owlfeather told himself, imagining politely that swiftstar would say those words to him one day too. maybe he'd become deputy one day. that would be nice. 'i'd really have to work for it. whenever you have time, go hunt. go train yourself. go train your apprentice. make an effort.'

[storm coming.]

Fadedecho nodded happily. "Well.. Beetlepaw, will you please go ask Swiftstar for me?" he asked.

Swiftstar padded out of camp after him. "To the meadow we go!" she cheered happily with a small laugh.

Skybounce

Skybounce followed Swiftstar. "Yep!" He purred and leaped through the forest. He smiled and glanced at Swiftstar as they bounced through the forest to the meadow.

Swiftstar looked at Skybounce with a smile. "Race you!" she called and sprinted off, laughing along the way as she dodged trees and bushes.

Padding out of the den, she watched Swiftstar leave. "Wait!" she squealed and ran after them, but she was breathless. She finally caught up. "Swift.. s-star.." she panted and padded a little behind.

[storm coming.]

Swiftstar skidded to a halt and turned around to face Beetlepaw. "What is it?" she asked, hoping Skybounce wouldn't pass her.
