Hawktalon flicked his tail. "well you can get those when we hunt or eat a bird, or something with a shell," he meowed.

Featherfoot felt pains in her belly. "Call Scarfoot!" she yowled. "The kits are coming!"

Scarfoot sighed and grabbed some herbs. She ran to the queen and handed her a stick. "here you are," she mumbled.

Featherfoot licked the five kits. She touched her nose to a very light cream she-cat. "Palekit." she murmured. Next she moved to a fiery-pelted ginger tom. "Cougarkit." And then, she turned to a small white tom with gray tabby patches. "Briskkit." she fell asleep after that, too tired to think any more.
