After work, I began to walk to the edge of the sidewalk, where I would hail down a cab. I was nervous my parents wouldn't allow me to work with Pink Dust, but I was also excited, because if they did allow me then I would be a fashion star!

"Valane apartments, please" I told the cab driver. He nodded as I climbed into the back of the bright yellow car. Yeah, did I mention my parents sort of own the apartment building we live me? My parents are both lawyers, so we kind of have a lot of money. They bought me a pair of $415 Jimmy Choos for prom that I didn't end up wearing.

After I arrived home, I knocked on my parent's door of their apartment and told them everything. Lets say they didn't like it, but they knew if it was my dream to be a fashion star, I wouldn't stop until I was able too. I sent Pink Dust a quick text: "mom + dad r in txt me details ASAP"

Pink Dust texted "Good, now meet me at my fashion department, and say you're Jina Valane, they'll lead you upstairs, they're will be a meeting on door 24 enter that door, then go the left hallway, on the last door, that's your designing area, me and the whole designing staff will be there and the modeling crew, there they will give you a pass and you will also be an interviewer." She sat down and the designing area with the whole staff, she was only 21 to be so advanced in designing.

I ran outside immediately after I got Pink Dust's text and hailed a cab and got them to take me to Pink Dust's fashion department and did as Pink Dust had instructed me. I made my way into my designing space, wowed by how big it is. I said a short hello and sat down in a chair that had my name in front of it.

"So, what am I supposed to be doing?" I whispered to Pink Dust.

Nexxus brushed his hand against hers figuring it would show some sign that he was smiling and happy to be talking to her. At the worst the sudden touch would creep her out and she would move her hand away. Which would make them both feel a bit weird wouldn't be a long run affect. So again weighing the pros and cons Nexxus decided to take a leap of faith. If his was going to teach her how to play piano they would be touching each others hands a lot anyway. Nexxus sat his elbow on the counter holding his chin with his hand waiting for a reaction of some kind. Maybe he could read her mind? Nah, Nexxus was desperate for a reaction but not that desperate.

Looking past Malane he caught sight of two males outside, what seemed to be a one way conversation. One was slightly bigger and seemed to have a gruff appearance. The other was slightly smaller and seemed to be uncoordinated by the way he had stumbled over to the other. Squinting his eyes a bit he made out the bigger one, seeing where he was gestering to or even if he was gestering to something. Which reminded Nexxus after work he needed to return something to the book store. Looking up at the clock he saw about a half hour was left of his shift. Speak of a easy work day most of it he got to sit and talk to the most mysterious Malane perhaps they could talk again. He could invite her to the coffee shop the days he works after hours so they could practice piano. The manager didn't care what you do after hours in the store as long as you leave it tidy and locked up.

{Sorry, i was volunteering at my friends barn all day. :3 And my gerbils are very happy with all of the chewable toys they just got, lol :3}

She smiled softly at Nexxus when he touched her hand. She had wanted to do so, when she had spoken her last sentence, but it would have looked a little awkward as she would have searched the air for his hand. She did not pull away, however, and enjoyed the touch. Besides, she would have to get used to it anyhow, if he were going to teach her how to play a melody on the piano eventually. She remained silent for a moment, feeling his hand on hers; it was a pleasant feeling, and she was more than happy to cherish it. "How much longer until closing time, Nexxus?" She asked, finally deciding that she wanted to break the silence. She was curious how long he worked, what days he did, but in general, wanted to know more about him. She had never had a lengthy conversation with another.

Nexxus smiled as he was aware she had not moved away, looks like all the courage had paid off in the mean time. "How much longer till closing time?" she had asked a moment ago. Looking back up at the clock Nexxus was happy to see his shift had come to a end and he was free to mover around freely. Normally Nexxus would have been out the door by now and speeding down the walk way to get two blocks away. Or browse the many stores looking for trinkets for the right price. But of course not everyday Nexxus didn't meet a lovely lass. Smiling brightly Nexxus turned back to her. "My shift ended a few hours ago but the Coffee Hut itself will be open for a few more hours. Friday through Sunday are the days I stay until closing time. We close at 5 because no one tends to come after then. Coffee and pastries only works for a certain part of the day." he shrugged. Thinking for a few moments Nexxus smiled and looked outside. He could use some company returning his books and Malane was such a joy to talk to it almost was wrong not to invite her. "I do have a few errands to run, if you have nothing to do I would be thrilled to how you accompany me" he asked in a hopeful tone if she decided to decline hopefully she would come back so they could talk again.

Melane nodded her head. "So you work a lot. That's good." She smiled at him. If he worked a lot of hours, it meant that he was liked by his employers, and by far he was most likely enjoying his job. And that was a great thing. "Is it really that late already? We've been sitting here talking all day, huh." She then added, but in a much quieter voice, more to herself. When she had entered the coffee shop, she had planned it to be a quick in and out, though she had nothing else planned for the rest of the day; but they she started talking with Nexxus, and couldn't believe how time had flown by. She smiled again, nodding her head. "I'd love to come with you. I haven't planned anything else to do today." She said, nodding once more.

Kiwia unlocked the door to his restaurant, flipping the sign from closed to open. He put his hands over his eyes and looked at the sky, then around him What a wonderful day! He walked into the restaurant, and unlocked the doors to the room for kids, Kiwia's Kid Kiwis. KKK was written on the door. The green JMD put on his apron and chef's hat and pushed open the doors of the kitchen. No one was here yet, but he put a pot on the stove and started making today's special. After finishing, he ran about putting menus on the tables.

"Great, first off we have to run to my apartment so I can pick up some things and change out of my work attire, I'll be right back." he went into the back office taking his name tag off and hanging his apron on a hook. In the back was a small table with a few poker chips in the middle of it, guys must of been betting mints again. Catching the eyes of one of his coworkers he said a quick goodbye and was almost out the door when his companion asked a question. "That girl and you together?" Nexxus smiled and shook his head "Nope, for now she is just a friend." his buddy rolled his eyes also taking off his apron and name tag. Since it became calm during this time of the day only 2 workers had to be at work. Where before there had been 5. "Too bad though for once you had gotten yourself a pretty lass." Chuckling Nexxus pushed on the door and walked around the counter standing by Malane "Ready to go?" he asked his voice light and kind hopefully she hadn't heard him and his coworker but if she did it wouldn't be the end of the world either.

Melane smiled, and nodded after he had spoken and disappeared into the back. She didn't want to sit anymore, so she gathered her trash, the used napkin and the empty coffee cup, and began to search for a garbage can. She assumed their would be one not to far away, near the end of the counter. It seemed like a logical place to put one. So slowly, she began to make her way towards the end of the counter, and dropped her trash into the garbage can. She hated making someone else clean up her mess, when she was perfectly capable of doing it herself. As she returned to he seat, she heard Nexxus return and ask her a question. She nodded her head to him. "Yupp." She said easily. She had not hear Nexxus and the co-worker speaking in the back, she was to busy throwing her stuff away, so Nexxus or someone else wouldn't have to.
