(Good idea, Callisto. I'll do that whenever I can get to a computer.)

♪Casey♪

"Stupid carnival, not safe enough..." The small nurse was spraying Full Heal a Azumaril's stomach. The tiny creature cried at the sting, little black eye's watering slightly. This made the girl sigh sympathetically, putting her hand on the blue Pokémon's head and stroked it's smooth skin in an attempt to calm it. It didn't do a thing. The tiny thing bursted into tears.

Hearing the sobbing, a pink Pokémon popped from behind the operating table, her clean white hat tilted sideways. The blue plus in the middle was now more like an 'X'. "There you are Casey!" The Chansey smiled habitually, before getting on her tip toes to see the other Pokémon. Well, not 'toes', since she had none, more like tip feet. Looking at the Azumarill, who now covered it's face with tiny arms, the helper smiled. "Don't cry."

"It hurts!"

"But it'll help you feel better. And then you can grow up to be a strong Marril." She stepped back, flexing a pink arm to represent muscles. Then the Chansey growled lightly. This made the tiny blue pokemon to burst into laughter.

Although the nurse didn't understand a word in the conversation, she tried to stifle a giggle. She was so proud of what had been a tiny Happiny, and was glad she turned out so good. "We'll go out later to see the light, ok Casey?"

(Fails at Pokémon names at the moment.)

((Sorry if anyone was waiting for me, I just wanted to give people a chance to reply. OTL
Halo;; Sorry for any possible god-moding at the end. I wasn't sure if Rinji actually looked up, but I just kind of assumed it. If that's not cool, I'll come back and edit.
Waterlilly;; I think Soleil was slightly out of character, but I still hope it's enough to make an interesting... plot thing, nonetheless. :3 And just if you're a bit confused, the part where he twitches is because his ear twitched from the sounds.))

Seul
Although Seul would never admit it, she didn't know what to do. Her body slightly shook with her run and from fear, her weary eyes scanned her surroundings. Besides seeing the lush brush and actually hearing the sounds of the forest, she did not seem to actually see any Pokemon, no birds in particular. The Rattata's breaths slowly calmed to a light pant, and to herself, she dipped her head.

Good.

Ever so careful, Seul craned her head around her before she hesitantly took a step out from under the safety of the bush. One step... two steps... thr—what was that? Seul had felt... what was it? She couldn't even find words to describe the feeling, the way her fur stood on end, or the way the silence seemed to suddenly dawn on her. True to a Rattata's nature, Seul swiftly duck back into the shadows.

From out of the forest appeared a Pokemon she had never seen before. Now, Seul knew she was small, but even by human standards, this Pokemon seemed very large. It looked a bit “worn down”, but it still stood tall. The Pokemon stood on four legs, its body mostly green with tinges of pink and black. If Seul had to describe it, perhaps she would call it... leafy. It also seemed light burns and bruises littered its body like the sun's rays filtering through the canopy leaves. Had Seul not known any better, she might have thought the similarity to be pretty. But it wasn't. Her delicate nose twitched as she picked up the various scents around her. This Pokemon, whatever it was, did not seem to be a girl or a boy. Perhaps it was... what had her father said? a magnemite? They were not boys or girls, right? Then again, maybe it was... a ditto?

Seul unconsciously continued to stare at this tall beast. How could she not? She had never seen such a creature, but then again, she had not seen a lot of Pokemon before. Seul was okay alone, she didn't mind... not really.

Snap!

Whoops! Seul quickly lifted her foot off of the branches she stepped on. The small mouse Pokemon hadn't even realized she had started moving back. No, she was not scared. However, as the beast's ears perked and its head snapped up, Seul wasn't so sure. As quite as she could be, Seul scooted herself back into the bush, hoping, praying, that she would not be spotted. She wasn't scared, nope, not at all...

Soleil
Soleil's ears twitched, and he let out a breath. Slowly, and quite unwillingly, he slid his eyes opened. It just seemed he would not get some sleep, did it? Not with all this racket and cheer. He couldn't really go anywhere, and by no means did Soleil even think about finding somewhere else to sleep. Although off duty, as any good Growlithe, he was expected to stay near the grounds. Too bad he couldn't just... sneak into that forest for a nice nap. With that thought, he huffed and stood up to turn around. Maybe if he just pretended he wasn't there...

Twitch...

Soleil lifted his lip in an unheard snarl of annoyance, ears pinned to his head. Could he not get any peace? Annoyed, the fire Pokemon lifted his head up and craned his neck around. Forelegs forward and body half turned, he looked at what had seemed to disturb him. A Pokemon? Of all things, wouldn't a Pokemon understand how simply unnecessary and unexciting this event was? However, it seemed his Pokemon friend didn't think the same. In fact, if Soleil didn't know any better, which he didn't, he would've thought the tiny Pokemon was just another observer of this light. After all, he was part of the crowd.

Speaking of which, what Pokemon was this anyway? It looked a little bit like a Sandshrew, but it had a longer nose and it was more of a tan and blue than a brown. Perhaps it was a Pokemon from out of this region, which there seemed to be a lot of since this gathering. Another fact, which Soleil couldn't help but notice, was that this Pokemon was small. Now, of course Soleil had seen both large and small Pokemon, but even with the knowledge that small Pokemon could be powerful, Soleil couldn't help but think that if this Pokemon was small, that meant it was weak. So, in his state of both a mixture of curiosity and of annoyance, Soleil barked out a greeting.

“Hey, you! Are you enjoying the festival?”

By no means did the canine try to be rude, but he couldn't help but keep the annoyance from his voice. He just didn't understand what the big deal was. He should be out trying to stop criminals right now, as is his duty as a Growlithe! If this Pokemon was smart, or rather, even if he were dumb, he would still notice the biting tone in his voice. Nope, he was not a happy Growlithe.

(( Darn you Toki and your epic posts. XP ))

..::Avery the Gardevoir::..
Finally. Finally he got some alone time away from all those girls. Avery still found it hard to believe that he was the only male Pokemon on a team lead by a female trainer. Epically since his species were known as being some of the most feminine.
That didn't bother him though really. He, of course, never saw himself to look feminine. Though he knew others did. Even walking around this carnival was a difficult task for him.
He had had many male Pokemon try to flirt with him, and one Poliwrath had even tried to mess with his cloak. The nerve of him.
Avery sighed as his fingers ran over his cotton candy. It was a good thing that his trainer had given him some money or he may of just had to starve till the girls were done with whatever silly shenanigans they were doing. And that could take hours. But than again blue raspberry flavored cotton candy never did fill anyone up much.
Silently he walked over to a old wood bench, though he appeared more to be floating. He sat down and looked around the carnival. He had no clue why this carnival was being thrown, and truthfully, he didn't care.
His red eyes locked on some of the nearby games. He chuckled as he noticed one of the scams, a milk bottle knock down game. Of course they would have one of those, they were one of the most infamous game stands one could have at a carnival.

..::Vivian the Zubat::..
"Maybe I should give up." Vivian groaned as she laid on a nearby rock, trying to catch her breath. She had managed to gain a level, but training as a wild Pokemon was hard. You had nobody to help you, and you had to rest the old fashion way. She was pretty sure that Pokecenters didn't just allow any wild Pokemon to come waltzing in the front door but...
Today was the carnival! They had to have some sort of First Aid center set up. The carnival wasn't that far away, so maybe she could fly out there, get a few Oran Berries, than return, evolve, and witness the light.
Her plan was genius. Brilliant. Amazing. Flawless.
The blue bat forced herself to fly off the rock, ignoring the pain from the over-battling. She made her way to the exit of the cave, than towards the carnival.
Sure the flight took longer than she expected, but she eventually made. Now all she had to do was find some sort of First Aid center among this chaos without being lost, hurt, injured, or even killed.
Vivian lowered her ears, hoping there was indeed a First Aid center here and that she wasn't wrong to just try to go to a Pokemon Center...

{.:T O K I :.@I t did kinda' look up, I supose. xD}

• Ѵιяιzισи || Яιиjι •

The beautiful melody of the forest was shattered by a twig snap behind me. I raised my head slowly turning to see what had disterbed me. I saw a shadow, in the centre of a thick bush. Pushing away the leaves, I nudged the small pokemon out of the other side of the bush. I towered over it, and for one I was not the tallest out of my trio, but the quickest and most agile.

"Hello there, I am not here to hurt you, I would like to know what has been happening over the past 100 years. Any new rumours?" I asked with a gentle tone in my voice.

The soft breeze sent leaves in groups floating over my head. I inhaled the sweet smell of the forest, like pinwheel. My own forest. My home. The wind whispered in my ear, and I was on high alert for any human in the area. "And What is your name?" I added.

(Hey Halo, please change your charecter's description. I notice it's from another site, and I don't want you to be in trouble for plagirism.)

※Soren※

As the small Pokémon had said something to his trainer, the human had dropped to a crouch to be at eye-level, blue to black. "Of course you did."

No, Oliver didn't understand. He was pretending to. Maybe that was one of the reason Soren liked him so much. As the boy leaned forward to stroke his starter's smooth head, a type of praise, the Cyndaquil heard someone say something to him. Or, more like barked. He turned swiftly, not giving the boy enough time to catch his balance. He did a windmill motion with his thin arms before landing flat on his face into the stones.

The small Pokémon paid no attention. He was now looking at the Growlithe who had been sleeping. Or, obviously, pretending to. "It's... Ok." The response was reluctant, mostly out of fear then anything. The small creature had taken on a Growlithe before from some traveling trainer, and it hadn't ended well. Thing refused to let go of his head. Soren had had a headache for weeks after that.

This one seemed grouchy instead of angry, though. Maybe I woke him up. He started shaking his round head lightly, not to disturb the Everstone resting on his heart. "People trying to rip you off, though."

(This is much better then my last one, in my opinion. Though yours puts mine to shame, Toki.)

((Thanks you guys, but it's more about quality than length. Besides, compared to most of Chickensmoothie, y'all are in the top percent. ^-^ I don't mind if your posts are a bit shorter, they're still very well written and fun to read. Besides, that's the whole point, right? You're supposed to have fun. :] Callisto, I'm sorry I didn't really get Soleil to interact with Avery, I didn't know what to make him do to have him recognize him without making it seem unrealistic or to make him blatantly ignore Soren. OTL Maybe, since he's psychic, kind of feel that Soleil is unhappy and that Soren is scared? Or maybe he feels like having guy time, or ask a question (since technically, Soleil is part of the police force so he would know some things).))

Seul
If anyone asked, Seul would never admit that she shuddered as the Pokemon neared. The way the Pokemon just towered over as it neared, her sent shivers down her spine. Without a word, the larger Pokemon bent its head down and nosed the brush. In fear, and partly in surprise, Seul darted backward. However, as it turned out, the bush really wasn't that big and very quickly, Seul found herself in the open. The Rattata snapped her head back and forth, but no one was around. It was funny, really, the only time she went out looking for possibly a Pokemon that would eat her, is when another Pokemon might eat her.

"Hello there, I am not here to hurt you. I would like to know what has been happening over the past 100 years. Any new rumours?"

The warmth in... its gentle tone made Seul freeze, fur on edge. The words didn't really register at first, rather just the fact that a Pokemon, most likely a predator, would hurt her. For a moment, it was quiet. A few leaves wisped past, and the simple... tranquility seemed to relax her muscles. Slowly, she edged off her toes and just stood stock still. Finally, the words hit home. Wait, this... Pokemon, whatever it was, didn't want to hurt her? At first, the words seemed to comfort her, but then she tensed up. What if this... thing, was lying? And... wait, the past one hundred years? How on Mew's earth was she supposed to know that?

"And what is your name?"

Seul was taken back by the question. Part of her wanted to believe that this Pokemon was lying, playing with her before eating her. However, part of her also thought that... maybe it was actually... nice. Seul, although scared, decided to take her chance. She didn't normally think things through, but... it seemed genuinely kind. So, she took her chances. Why not humor it anyway? Maybe it would keep to its word and not hurt her. In that mindset, Seul began, albeit with a slightly stutter and uncertainty leaking through her answer.

"U-uhh..." Great job, smartass. Seul swallowed her nerves and tried again. "M-My name is S-Seul." She paused again, damn stutter! Her red eyes glinted with her annoyance, but she didn't even dare look the other Pokemon in the eyes. "And... and I'm not sure what has been going on in the past... one hundred y-years. I'm not that old..." She ended quietly, holding her breath for a response.

Soleil
If it had been possible, Soleil would have raised an eyebrow. However, as the Pokemon just spun around and toppled over, he just blinked. "It's... okay." Soliel dipped his furry head, so that meant this... festival was neither good or bad. If it wasn't good, he briefly wondered why it wasn't bad. But that wasn't any of his buisness, so he didn't comment on it. It was simply his duty to be good and watch over things. He lightly puffed up his chest and sat up straighter at this. Soleil blinked his eyes as he became more alert. Well, if he couldn't get some sleep, he might as well have a nice conversation, right? This Pokemon didn't seem like a threat, and it seemed he could at least be entertaining.

"People trying to rip you off, though."

Although Soleil was annoyed at the crowd and lack of sleep, he still chuckled. So it seemed this Pokemon wasn't half as boring as he originally might have thought. The Growlithe himself had not participated in many actual games, but he still observed them from afar in times like these. Speaking of which, Soliel subtly glanced around to be sure nothing was going wrong. He spied many citizens, trainers, children, and many Pokemon, a few on their lonesome he thought as he eyed a nearby... tall, unknown Pokemon. Most likely... he, was from another region too. After just a moment, he turned his attention back to his conversation and thoughts. He had definitely seen more people and Pokemon lose than win at the games though, not that he'd play himself. It wasn't a secret to see that this Pokemon most certainly wasn't lying. Perhaps this other Pokemon was more bored than he thought, too.

"Yes, it does seem that way, doesn't it?"

If he were to start a conversation at all, Soleil pondered, he might as well actually... well, think of something to say. Conversation or not, he would be here awhile before his next shift too. With that in mind, he flipped his backside around so the whole of him was facing the other Pokemon, not just his upperbody. It was much more comfortable too...

"Most all of the games here are impossible to win. From my knowledge, they're actually designed so you can't win. Speaking of which, what are you and your trainer here for? The light, the games, the overall sense of a good time? I don't think I've seen your kind around these parts." He added the last bit as an after thought.

((Don't worry, to me it didn't seem as ignoring.
May I ask what OTL means? I just recently started roleplaying on CS, my before roleplaying was all done on Neopets (Warrior Cats and Sonic The Hedgehog/Anthro) and a bit on Freewebs/Xat. I have no clue about roleplaying chat speak used on CS, and I even had to ask someone about WB because where I originate from, it meant Welcome Back. Neopets and Xat both. I feel it may mean something like One Tiny L____. Something beginning with one.
But than again OTL looks like OLTL to me, which is the initials of my mother's soap opera she always watches that's being canceled. D: She been watching the show since she was in Middle School, and now she's in her forties.))

..::Vivian the Zubat::..
She didn't remember if she went to look for a First Aid Center or a Pokecenter, but she found what she was looking for nonetheless. There was the nurse and her Chansey, not that far away from her. If Vivian had eyes she would have started crying from happiness. But than again, if she had eyes she wouldn't be here and would be flying around gleefully, waiting for the light.

Anyway.

The Zubat silently fluttered her way over to the two trying to not be driven off or anything. She lowered herself in front of the Chansey, with a sheepish grin.

"Hello?" She said, hoping the Chansey would understand her. But why wouldn't she? They were both Pokemon, but maybe wild Pokemon sounded different from tamed.

Shaking the thoughts away Vivian bit her lip. No. She had to remain brave. Poofing out her fur and raising her head, she looked up at the pink Pokemon who was larger than her. "You do heal.. wi-... er.. Pokemon.. right?" Stupid. Of course they would. But the question was, would they heal wild Pokemon not brought in by a human? Well, she could always lie and say she lost her trainer and got into a fight..

..::Avery the Gardevoir::..

Playing with soft cotton like sugary food with his fingers, Avery watched two near by fire types, both much smaller than him. He had noticed the bigger of the two had looked at him. He could tell that the larger orange canine with black stripes was a Growlithe. It wasn't that hard to tell. Most if not all Jennys except the ones in Unova had Growlithe.

The other one he had never seen before. It looked like a shrew or mouse, but was tan and blue with a few spots on it's back. It did match a description of what his Trainer's Meganium had often told him about what the other Johto starters looked like. So maybe it was Johto's fire starter? Now what was the name of it? He couldn't put his finger on the name.. Something with a C or S...

Hastilly, Avery tossed the rest of the food in his mouth, ignoring the over duse of pure concentrated sugar. He stood up, brushing off his cloak of any invisible dust that may have gathered. He made his way over to Soren, Soleil, and Oliver. He looked down at the fire types, and now could tell that this Growlithe was part of police force. It didn't shock him though, this carnival was huge and fights and stealings were bound to happen.

Avery looked back up to the trainer, deciding to not interrupt the two Pokemon. "Excuse me." Avery said with his psychic abilities, trying to get Oliver's attention. "I'm sorry to bother you, but is your Pokemon there Johto's fire starter?" He paused, looking down at Soren. Avery could tell him and his trainer had a strong bond, probably stronger than Avery and his trainer, despite the fact he could tell Oliver and Soren hadn't been together that long.

{I don't actually know what time it is, so I assume it's morning}

• Ѵιяιzισи || Яιиjι •

I looked at the small Rattata with my pale amber eyes. Small. But yet still with a lot of potential. "Only a few are as old as me round here..." I muttered. "Seul, then I am pleased to meet you if that be your name" I spoke up proudly. Many rattata's grow up to be wise, and strong. I can feel that this one will stronger, than all the others I have met in my time.

"There is no need to be afraid young one" I said. "Your fear scent will be a tracking divice for those predators out there, and I will not hurt you" I added, nugding the young Rattata to the side. How many years has it been since I met a young Rattata like her? The day the fire broke out. Yes. I remember, quite vividly.

A fire raged through out the thick and over grown forest. Flames and sparks leaped into the air, smoke hanging to every single thing in the forest. Most of the animals had fled, but some were trapped in the descrutive flames. Only a young Rattata this was. Trapped, underneath a fallen log, the fire blazing only a few metres away.

I had got it out, and it had rode on me. I ran as quick as I could that day, showing my true talent...

What am I doing? Day-dreaming about my old war tales? Pathetic. Not what I should do. Not at all. There I am again! Scolding myself. GET. A. GRIP!

I shoot my head widly trying to get rid of any worthless thoughts. I awoke from my slumber of memories.

♪Casey♪

The pink Pokémon smiled as the Azumarill was carried off by it's trainer, a young girl. Apparently, the tiny thing had been trampled by overexcited school kids on the way to the carnival. Personally, Casey could give a care less about the 'light'. No matter how many people went into Paradise, some would be left. And they would need healing.

And that's when something flew into her line of vision. A small creature, mostly blue in color. It was flapping to keep in the air. A Zubat. Oh, if there was something she hated, which was hard to get to, it was the way trainer's treated these cave dwellers. Wether they numbered greatly or not, they had feelings. And by the looks of this one, the same thing had happened to this one, female by the looks. The helper was snapped out of thought as the Zubat seemed to stumble over every word she spoke.

At the question, Casey giggled, looking down in an attempt to hide it. Though it didn't usually matter, some Pokemon, or trainers for that matter, got upset easily. Though this one didn't look it, she wasn't taking any chances. "Of course!" Casey answered cheerfully, looking at the now empty operating table. "Just sit up there-" The Pokémon looked at the footless creature. "Or lay there... And I'll go get you some Oran berries."

※Soren※

Soren blinked as the Growlithe started talking. Well, more like squinched his eye's, since they seemed closed. But he could see. Well.... It took to long to explain. The Cyndaquil didn't really understand himself. Anyways, the other Pokémon shifted, now onto his haunches then in a weird, twisted position.

As the striped creature commented about the games and asked him questions, Soren had the overwhelming urge to play another. If they were unbeatable, then he wanted to. Who didn't like a challenge? Well, this one was money eating though...

"Oliver wanted to come for all of it." He looked back, seeing Oliver watching with curious blue eye's. Then the Cyndaquil looked back, blue head tilted. "I would ask you the same, but you're probably a po-" He was cut off by his trainer squeaking in surprise. As he again turned back, there was now a Pokemon near him. Strange...

"Wow, a talking Pokemon!" Oliver whipped out his silly little device, the one that had information on all the different species in the world. Sorta like a Super Stalker. 'Gardevoir, the Embrace Pokemon,"

Soren rolled his eye's. He hate that thing. It was like spying on everyone's lives. "This Psychic Pokemon is sometimes mistaken for an all female Pokemon, such as Chansey or Milktank. It is in fact, completely half and half, as most Pokemon are."

Oliver was now bouncing on the balls of his feet in excitement. "Yes! Soren is a Cyndaquil, the fire starter of Jhoto." Soren did a facepalm, embarrassed as heck in front of the other two. "I mean, like Starter Pokemon. He doesn't usually start fires. There was that one time though..." The boy trailed off, realizing all the words were turning to rambling.

((...Chansey and Miltank are always 100% female. D: A better comparison would be Roselia/Roserade, Lopunny, Machoke/Machamp, etc. One thing I can't stand is a female Machoke and Machamp. Game Freak could have been kind enough to at least make the females have boobs. For petes sake, even Nidoqueen has boobs! D: ))

..::Vivian::..
If Vivian could have blinked, she would have done so several times. "Thank you." Vivian mumbled with an affirmative nod trying to not get set off by the giggle. This Chansey was helping her, at least she could do was not yell because of by a giggle.. Using her echolocation she make her way to the table. Her 'legs' sprawled behind her as she sat herself on the table and wrapped her scratched wings around her like a protective blanket. Her ears stood straight up as she listened to all the noise around her.

Though she would rather be hanging upside down in the cave than sitting upright, she couldn't really complain. "So..." She started, hoping the Chansey heard her. "Are you going to look at the light? Of course in my current state I can't really see it." The bat gave a small nervous chuckle, fidgeting her wings around as if she was twiddling her thumbs.

She felt awkward here, even when trying to start a conversation. Plus the sun didn't feel that pleasurable upon her fur. She would rather be back in the cave. At least there she could hide in the darkest caverns, and if she wished to feel a bit of sun, she could find her way to a sky light or exit, than go back to hiding.

..::Avery::..
Avery gave a nervous smile, feeling a bit like he was being studied, but than again he kind of was. Though it was true that finding Ralts in Hoenn was as hard as finding a needle in a haystack (And he wasn't sure how hard it was to find a Ralts in White Forest in Unova), if not harder, he never really thought he was that interesting. But than again he was in Kanto, a place where Ralts were not located at.

He looked at the Pokedex, wishing that there was one on humans. There was something he wished came with a guide book.

"Yes well... a lot of Psychic Pokemon can speak using telepathy.." Avery respondde as he looked up and stared at the boy. He felt a bit sorry for the... Cyndaquil was it? He had noticed that it had facepalmed, probably in embarrassment. Avery now stood there listening to the trainer ramble, often taking a few glances down at Soren trying to see his reactions. Avery was not sure though if he should just walk away slowly, run, or just politely listen.

He chose to listen. Avery didn't want to be rude, and he was quite curious as why a fire type wouldn't use fire type moves. Fire types were the best at fire moves, and even received STAB from it. It would be like Avery refusing to use any Psychic moves or deciding that he would never used any Special Attack moves ever again and wanted to use only Physical ones. Conclusion, it would be silly and not do any good.

But than again, maybe these two had a reason.
