He stood outside the warrior's den, glancing around to see friendly faces. He thought it best to not interject in any conversations and instead sat next to the warrior den entrance to soak up the rainy morning sun under a small ledge.

Batpaw looked at yesterday's leftovers and decided he'd wait for new stuff to come in instead. He huffed a bit, not out of annoyance but of boredom, as Nightshade sat in the queen's den with Poppyflower. He was happy they were spending time together but he was also uncharacteristically ready to start the day early. He wondered if their distance was bothering Bravepaw and his other kit siblings. He shook his head, nevermind that now, and glanced around the camp to see if there was anyone to speak to. It was times like this he wishes he was more extroverted. His gaze settled on Twistedsun in the far corner of the clearing. Batpaw was curious about him, he hasn't talked much but he could tell he seemed confident, and he wasn't much older than himself. Before he could convince himself not to, Batpaw happily trotted over the him to say hello.

His searching for prey seemed fruitless. He sighed as he could feel a pane of hunger in his stomach. Perhaps he was more hungry than he thought. He turned tail and went back to Mistclan territory, thoughtlessly crossing the border and heading inland before settling in a tree he knew wasn't incredibly far from their little camp. Casper hoped they'd send out a hunting team soon. He didn't like to do this often but occasionally, when the cats left prey to pick up later, he would take it for himself. It did make him feel guilty but it was winter now and he could barely hunt anything in the spring time. Casper soothed himself by saying he would pay them back someday for unwillingly helping him get by. He pushed those thoughts away for now and made himself comfortable, ignoring the rain on his pelt and his empty stomach.
