rather than sit around the camp any longer, he headed after the patrol. the tom stretched his limbs once more before he picked up a quick pace to catch up with them. he knew shriekpaw was probably wondering where he was. it wasn't long before the feline spotted the apprentice not far from where whitepond and hawkpaw were near the river. padding through the tall grass, he approached the young tom and then touched his shoulder with his tail. "let's get some fishing done with those two, im sure you can brush up on those skills of your's." the deputy explained to his apprentice. "shouldn't let hawkpaw have all the fun." though he knew that shriekpaw may or may not even care about the other apprentice for the time being but he supposed he may or may not enjoy himself regardless and it would be good to get some training on differnet types of prey in.

it wasn't long before the young molly was finished with her share of the rabbit. she didn't want to over eat and thus ruin any type of training that she did end up doing. she listened to badgertail when the warrior spoke first of fishing but then changing her mind based on the warriors that had just left with their apprentices. when she mention battle training that she could try out on shriekpaw, the apprentice grinned, though she knew the older tom was more experienced with it already than she was. "i think that sounds like a great plan for the day badgertail. should we go? i mean there is no one we are waiting on and i think we've finished our breakfast. i'd love to work on some rabbits, though i'm not too sure i'll catch any just yet." she explained to her as she stood up and gave her chest fur a few quick licks, kneading the ground eagerly as she waited for the molly to answer her and get the day started.

with no trees in the generally new area, he had found a fox burrow to call his own right outside the clan's territory, luckily no snakes were making residence it in otherwise that would have been pretty tricky. the tom sighed, stretching his limbs before he pushed himself up to his paws and padded out of the den. letting his eyes adjust to the sunlight, the tom wondered what he would do today as he padded into the clan's territory for the first time and headed for the closest water source he knew of currently.

Whitepond focused on the movement Hawkpaw had pointed out, watching it has it came close to her paws. Once it was close enough, she swiped, tossing a small fish onto the shore. She quickly dashed over and killed it, picking up her catch with pride. I wish it was larger though, Whitepond thought.

As her mentor dives for a fish, Hawkpaw soon spots another fish and does the same. Although she enjoyed swimming, fishing was something she was not exactly skilled in. She dives into the water, clumsily trying to swipe the fish out of the water as smoothly as her mentor. Her paw barely grazes the fish and, startled, it retreats into the safer depths of the sea. The apprentice lets out a disappointed huff as she turns to see what her mentor managed to catch. "How do you do it? Can you teach me again?"

The empty camp seemed too much to bear now. She thought she might take a short walk. Just a short one, to clear her head and keep herself from getting any more bored. With so few cats left in the cap, leaving seemed like a good option. She got up and started to head out.

Jetstar has been up for sometime, his days of being a deputy instilled a routine in the toms mind, and not adhering to it seemed almost foreign to Jetstar. The black tom sat by the entrance of his den, his eyes closed as he strained to hear the distant sounds of waves, bird cries, and his stirring clanmates. A sigh of bliss escaped the cats nose as he blinked calmly, turning his vision back onto his camp.

Shriekpaw looked up at Bramblenose and felt his spirits pick up. Bramblenose was one of the only cats older than him that he truly looked up to, and Shriekpaw wouldn’t mind to talk the Tom up to be something great any day. Shriekpaw stood and dipped his head and looked over towards Whitepond and Hawkpaw, “Yeah, that sounds like fun.” He said, trying his best to sound like he wasn’t just bored earlier. The tabby Tom stood up and dipped his head at Bramblenose, signaling he was ready to go.

Whitepond put down her fish and turned to her apprentice. "Sure, i'll show you again." She padded back into the water beside Hawkpaw. "You've gotta be patient as you can. It can be hard to know if a fish will come any closer. Hooking the tail is a great way to catch a fish." She told her apprentice as she demonstrated how what she had just told her.
